This news has been out for a few days, but lazy me stumpled upon this only today:

I kind of hate how jagged all of the modern pokemon are...

Like... everything post G/S is so odd in comparison to the originals.

I think these still got som ordinary pokémon potential. I like the grass starter type.  :P

As much as the new Pokemon designs look a little weird, I can't help but still be extra excited for this game. I think the designs look quite fresh since it's like, ya know, 2010, and the original Pokemans came out a heck of a lot earlier. I must say I enjoy these.

is it me or is that the most bad ass looking legendary Ive ever seen.
Also those other Pokemon look really weird except the Clefairy one, that one looks like it could exist.

First off, news from the latest Pokémon Sunday.

Tsutaja (Smugleaf) is the Grass Starter, and is a Grass Snake.
Pokabu (Boarbeque) is the Fire Starter, and is a pig, obviously.
Mijumaru (Wotter) is the Water Starter, and is an otter of some sort.
Names in parenthses are fan names.

Zekrom is Dragon/Electric and Reshiram is Dragon/Fire.

Info on the Isshu Region

Chances are because the first 251 Pokémon were all designed together (that and an older artstyle). I didn't mind RSE's designs too much, I actually liked quite a few Pokémon from that Generation, but once DP hit, they became even worse. Also they seemed to be based off more realistic designs, where Pokémon nowadays are basically just being thought up like nothing and designed.

I do really like the look of the starters (except for the water, he looks a little off). I also really like Gear. Mamepato (the bird), Hihidaruma (monkey thing), and Meguroko (crocodile) are also nice. The legendaries are just completely stupid looking. When are we going to get something unique instead of OPPOSITES. NIGHT AND DAY.

Here's Meguroko by the way, since it's not in the thread yet.


The B/W legendaries are clearly cut from the same cloth as D/P/P. R/S/E were probably the last legendaries that I personally appreciate.
