Title: Tile Chopper?
Post by: NickAVV on February 20, 2007, 03:00:28 am
Hey, is there a program that takes a tileset and strips out any duplicates? I really like the TilesNet Link's Awakening tiles for their completeness, but they make my game take forever to load because Devis0r included the entire overworld! :P

If you want to be lazy MappyWin does this quite well

I had a similar idea for a program. A program that splits an image up into tiles with sizes of your choice, then removes duplicates, and possibly made it easy to format them (e.g. with drag and drop).
Go make it, someone.

I created one a while ago - Not sure where it is though. WWFan also did one so you may wish to ask him.

If all else fails just tell me and I'll program you one quickly when I'm back from college.
