Cut / Re: [Submission] Bomb Cannon
« on: July 04, 2012, 02:22:03 am »
I do agree that Shadow's criticism is too short, and I'm the same way that's why I haven't said anything. But what I think (I could be wrong) is that he's trying to say it should look my Steampunkish. I know this isn't a steampunk project, however, Max's concept is Very steampunkish, which is probably why It looks very good. Personally, I think Blaze, that your design is kind of basic, even if you just add more colour and designs on the cannon, I believe it will look much more visually appealing and less plain. Also maybe make it a tad bit smaller and give it a more... ergonomic? design for which Link would hold. After that I think it would look very nice. :)

Yes, they're gear cogs.  But they should each be designed with the particular race that it belongs to in mind!

Oh I definitely was. And thank you for clearing that up

So I just went through the doc. and I'm still wondering are the cogs like legit gear sort cogs? of are the looking like something else? Like do they look like the one I've inserted below. If so I may try a concept art for one.

Entertainment / Re: How does your music taste like?
« on: June 27, 2012, 01:59:28 am »
Like you, I cannot get into rap at all. Myself, I listen to mostly country. Being Canadian, and my favourite bands and singers are mostly Canadian, the music does't really leave Canada. Johnny Reid is probably my favourite singer, who is a jazzy-country singer. My favourite song being You Still Own Me. I also really like George Canyon and Emerson Drive. But I do like others such as Kenny Chesney, Chris Young, Rascal Flatts, and many more.

However I must say my favourite non-country singer is definitely Billy Joel. His song Piano Man is what inspired me to play the Harmonica, believe it or not. I do also enjoy Stevie Wonder, and many 70s and 80s bands such as Foreigner, Earth Wind and Fire, Lionel Richie, and Van Halen.

Discussion / Zelda Theme
« on: June 15, 2012, 02:34:53 pm »
I'm going to start of by saying that, I'm not sure if this is the right board or not as this is not a game, however it is still a Zelda project, so if it is the wrong board it would be great if someone can move it for me. :)
But anyway, I have a Blackberry Torch, which is a piece of sh*t phone for those of you who've never had one, but I do like the blackberry feature of being able to make your own themes so I figured I would give a zelda theme a try.

For sounds I already have
-The chest opening sound from almost all 3d zelda games as my ringtone
-Small Item pick up sound for receiving an email
-Blue rupee sound for a text message
-The Wind Waker pick up an its such as arrows sound for bum
-Wind Waker's Tingle's "Yayy!" when one of my closest friends text me

Now the hard part is the changing images depending on the time of day. Setting the images up is simple, and for what time is still simple. Making the basic image is easy, its just making the image look good and not empty is the hard part for me. I only have 2 images done but I haven't worked on it much so what I'm asking is if anyone can tell me how I can make these images look more filled up and not so empty. Thanks in advance. :)

Entertainment / Re: Woo Sony Smash Bros
« on: April 29, 2012, 06:54:59 am »
I gotta say, like Niek said, the graphical style of the characters looks REALLY bad, they don't fit each other at all. In super smash bros. they made both Toon Link, and TP Link look like they were from the same game. These characters on this sony game look like they are from 5 completely different graphic styled games. The closest thing I've seen so far on sony that was like Super Smash Bros. was Onimusha Blade Warriors, and I'll tell you; that game was something, I spent countless hours playing that one, and cap com put money into it. So if Sony decides to maybe put money into it, they'll make a good game. But either way Sony's going to make money out of it because Sony fanboys (I personally am a fan boy of nothing) are going to buy it and say its better than super smash bros.

Well I guess that explains why I've never heard of it. :P

Graphics / Re: My MM sprites
« on: March 10, 2012, 05:36:42 am »
He already made a note of that... :P

KinGame, i like the way the sprites turned out, almost identical style to Oldskoolmario's. However, like Faldomar said, I believe the zora sprite should be smaller. Also the Clock Town piece looks really good, but the angles look kind of awkward. I'm terrible at spiriting so I don't want to judge, but its mostly the stairs, and that centre standing near the bottom.

« on: November 12, 2011, 12:51:29 pm »
Yeah, once they release the game for Mac you mean?  XD

I am a little more hesitant to buy Skyrim than I was before the reviews. It sucks that the battle system is still a bit....Obivlion-ish. I don't know. Just lacks some realism.
And all Bethesda games have shitty glitches and bugs, though I thoroughly enjoyed them anyway. I'll end up buying this game eventually anyway. If not just just for all the awesome mods that are going to come out.  :)

You can put windows on a Mac, but you can't put OS X on a PC. I play Oblivion and Fallout NV on my Macbook all the time. :P

And, I'd say I'm jealous, but my friend already made sure he'd rub it in that he got it all day yesterday. :P
