Well, even though I have already gotten the Wii version(although I'll probably have to wait until January to be able to play it), I have just about enough money to get the Gamecube version, if the price will be the same.  But before I buy it, here are a few questionsI want to ask about it(and hopefully they'll be answered):

-When exactly is it being released in the US?

-Will it be available everywhere?  Because I've heard you could only get a copy a certian way and not just out of a store??

Well, it comes out........
I forgot, Dec.14th? or something...
Before they said only releasing in North America, but I think Japan is getting them as well.
Not sure about anywhere else.

EDIT: Sorry, I believe it comes out, Dec. 11th

Anyways why get both versions?

Because 1) I'm skeptical about the Wii controls, 2) January couldn't come sooner, and 3) It'd add to my collection :p

But I guess TMC, FSA, OoT, MM, and TWW could keep me busy until then, although I'm already at the Palace of Winds in TMC, but the last dungeon and the last boss in TMC always take me forever to complete

don't be skeptical, the wii controls are amazing.  It makes me never want to use an analog to aim arrows again.

Well, I'm not really good at aiming, so I'll probably hate that, and besides, I'm more interested in the swordsplay.

if your bad at aiming, you'll probably have a worse time on the gamecube version right?
once you've tried it with the wii controlls you'll never want to go back to the standard controlls =P

I love the Wiimote for zelda, the only complaint i have about it is the the nunchuck doesn't always react when doing the spin attack.

That's true. But don't be skeptical. i'm not the best aimer in the world, but the arrows and everything flow great! Swordplay is awesome, but the nunchuk doesn't react sometimes. You can swing the sword while running(never been done before in an official game).

If you're not good at aiming, most of the time you'd Z target.
Z targeting can also be done on the Wii, so you don't have to worry that much.
I'm not that good of an aimer too, but i'm sure i'll get more used to it... (Played the demo).

i have the same problem, i could wiggle that thing around for ages and link will just stand there doing nothing, i also have a similar problem when doing the shield attack, which sometimes even ends up being mistaken for a spin attack

I guess.  But is there a way to switch the Z-targeting between HOLD and PRESS(or whatever those options are) like in the other 3D Zeldas?  Also, is there a way to unequip the shield, or lose it?  Because it seems defending all the time would make the game as easy as OoT, unless there are some attack you can't dodge even while using the shield...
