Well of course you don't.

God I'm sick of you all whining about how crap your precious Club Nintendo is. It was inevitable- we all told you it would be the same as the European one, but you just wouldn't listen.
What are you talking about? We have all kinds of awesome stuff.

We even have the gold and platinum status where you can get special prizes at the end of the year, just like Japan's Club Nintendo.

You don't get points for Virtual Console games and WiiWare games purchased before you registered your Club Nintendo account, and I threw out all the pieces of paper with the PIN codes for games when I bought them because Nintendo never did anything with them. I'll just buy the prizes when people put them on ebay. Fsck you Nintendo. Fsck you. :'(

You don't have to re-register your games. Just wait a couple of days for the site issues to clear up. It's a brand spanking new service, there are bound to be some problems.
I never registered them in the first place.

Kondo's Son: Dad, I'm buying a 360

Knod: Nooooooooooooo

He probably has a 360, unless he's not interested in gaming at all.
But they live in Japan, so he probably has a PS3.

ScrewAttack is lame.
This. They used to be funny, but ever since Tom left they haven't been the same. I like the stuff on the site not by ScrewAttack though. (Angry Video Game Nerd, Captain S, ect.)
Yeah, I started watching a bit of ScrewAttack just after the AVGN Christmas videos with Craig and Tom in it. I was kinda sad when Tom left but you are right though. Destin of the Hard News show is really annoying and an !@#$% but I keep watching it just for the news pretty much.
It was sad, but given his reasons I don't blame him. Plus he made his own site at http://www.thegameheroes.com , so he's still making videos.

I would prefer the same tunes but with slightly more tunes mixed in like with Banjo-Kazooie XBLA.
What new tunes were in the XBLA version of Banjo-Kazooie? I don't remember hearing anything new.

I'm cautiously optimistic about the movie. My biggest probelm though is the way they've portrayed Goku. He isn't a happy-go-lucky uneducated hick anymore. Instead he's some angsty teenager in high school. Besides the Kamehameha he does near the end, he never shows any emotion whatsoever. Also there's too much bullettime. Piccolo looks kinda cool though.

Also, I'm gonna be an !@#$% and say anyone who says the movie is a discrace to Dragon Ball Z isn't allowed to complain. It's not !@#$% Z. Do you see a Z in the title? No. :P

I will watch this movie if they use CHA LA HEAD CHA LA as it's main theme. END OF DISCUSSION.
The dub doesn't even use HEAD CHA LA, I doubt the movie will.

Kondo also had something to say about someone that wasn’t a Wii Music fan…

Kondo: I know someone who saw the commercial and said it didn’t look fun.

Iwata: Who?

Kondo: My son.

Discuss.
Sauce?

« on: December 12, 2008, 11:49:20 pm »
I've never seen anything fundamentally wrong with the movie aside from BAWWW THIS ISNT MARIO

I mean, when the !@#$% did Mario ever have a real story? It would be a pretty stupid movie if it was just IM !@#$% MARIO GOING TO SAVE THE PRINCESS.
Which is why they shouldn't have made the movie in the first place.

Remakes aren't a terrible concept—I just think it's a little unecessary to remake games that aren't even old.  I mean, the Wii can play Gamecube discs.  They should remake some '64 games, if anything.  (not virtual console, but full remakes)
A remake of Mario 64 would be terrible. I just can't see an upgraded current-gen Mario 64 retaining all its charm. Perhaps Pokemon Stadium with DS connectivity? Basically, Game Boy Tower connects to the DS (so it's DS Tower now?), you transfer your Diamond/Pearl/Platinum data over, some kind of locking system prevents you playing it on your DS at the same time to prevent complications, and then when you're done you save+transfer it back onto the DS. It sounds pretty lame, but I can't think of any other way of doing it. Unless they release a DS game reader for the Wii Remote. Hell, if they made expansion packs just to use with Pokemon RBYGSC, I see no problem with them doing it again.

The problem there is Nintendo thinks that old games need to stay the way they are, which is why they don't add new features to the VC versions. Why it's okay with GameCube games is beyond me. Probably because they don't need to update the graphics. I'd love a shiny new remake of Ocarina of Time or Super Mario 64 though.

And yeah, Ocarina of Time should stay the way it is. I don't WANT a shiny new OoT- I like the music in MIDI and Hyrule Field polygonal yet charming. Although I wouldn't mind a visual upgrade in OoT, that would probably mean they'd make the music higher quality too, taking away the sounds that made it so great.
Your old copies of the games would still work you know. Nobody would force you to play the remakes.

Why didn't I hear this much hype when DQ7 was released on PS2?
Not enough belts and zippers.

I only buy a game used when it isn't sold anymore. I never buy my used games at GameStop though. There are much better prices online.

Unbelievable! they changed from the awesome RE4 inventory to the lame old RE style inventory?... !@#$%!
I hated RE5's inventory system. Moving things around to get them to fit was a pain in the ass.

It's on the japanese marketplace.
How do you download stuff from the Japanese marketplace?
Well you would have to make an account, wouldn't you.  But they realised people were doing that, and region locked the demo-- so now the only way you can get it is to download it (I suggest looking over at neoGAF), and burn it to CD/DVD.
Yeah, I figured it out shortly after. I'm used to the Wii version of Resident Evil 4's controls, so playing RE5 feels slow when trying to aim, even after turning the aiming sensitivity all the way up. Aside from that it's pretty fun.

yeah, the article explained that it was to demonstrate transfering items from WW to CF.
Oh. I only read the part Aliento posted.

So why did Nintendo send a three year old game out to the media when a Wii version just came out a couple weeks ago?
