I think it's straight to dvd, so yeah... It's Capcom's "Advent Children", both in memetic style and cheesy lets-make-a-sale cinematic tie in with a slightly overrated series :P

Either way, I don't like the visuals. I've never liked RE's cinematics personally, and this is like... a huge ass one...

really? cinematics were sorta my favorite part. especially in every game but 4. I hated the overall gameplay/controls/camera of 1-3 and every spinoff except 4. It was unplayable to me. 5 promises to be just as awesome and I can't wait. I haven't played that rail-movement one on the Wii yet, but if it's just like house of the dead, I'll probably have some fun with it.

so anyway, since you've seen it, fissure, i assume it's out already? I can just find it at best buy or any video store?

I watched a trailer of it a while ago and it actually looked pretty awesome. I'm gonna try and see it when I can.

I'm laughing that an FF7 fan calls another game series overrated. Pretty much the only thing I read on message boards nowdays is people crying about tank controls and how much they love RE4.

It's definitely not like Advent Children in that this movie actually has a plot. And in the interviews I've watched it seemed like the director actually wanted to write it to fit into the REniverse.

While watching the trailers however, It felt like I was taking a walk through uncanny valley.

Very... "uncanny valley"-ish.  But suprisingly good so far; I'm halfway through it now.  Taking a break to play left4dead ;)

Nope. They're downloading it so they can stare at the file sitting on their computer.

It's out in theaters if I recall and has been for a while now. It's coming on DVD in like a week or two.

when i looked it up, it said it was in theaters in japan and at some NYC film festival.

of course, fissure, if it hadnt been out in theaters, how would it have already been leaked to the net?
