I lost two hearts with no PM notifying me of it because I said "!@#$% you" to someone. It wasnt even meant to be in an angry sense. It was sort of a joke. If I said "!@#$% you" to someone why is that so bad? Are we afraid to hurt this persons feelings? Its the internets they should expect these things. Okay, great so you slashed my two hearts off. At least notify me of what I did wrong. Even though it is completely obvious it would be nice to know. :-\

At least have the courtesy and contact the administration in private instead of making it a public fiasco.

What is to become of ZFGC is everyone will be allowed to cuss eachother out without sanctions? On second thought, even though this is "the internets" what's so bad about civility? I'd rather enjoy a peaceful community instead of a hellhole where everyone insults eachother all the time.

That is what the swear filter is for. And I didnt know who to PM the complaint to seeing as I dont know who took down the two hearts. If I just randomly sent it to a mod or an admin they would tell me to get over it or something retarded like that.

This is not a problem with censorship, Moldrill. It is a problem with politeness. If someone told me to "f**k myself" instead of "!@#$% myself" I would still take it as an insult.

So because I insulted him I should be taken down two hearts. This still does not excuse the fact that you didnt notify me.

Also how do you decide how many hearts to take away. So with this system if I insult two more people I am banned? That makes a whole lot of sense.

The warning system SHOULD have taken only one heart... I checked the warning, for some reason it said it was your second warning...
Second of all, you were SUPPOSED to get a a PM.  This warning system is still !@#$% up, I thought we had already fixed it a dozen times
Third of all yes, saying "!@#$% you" is a flame, and not tolerated, whether a joke or not..

Actually, I don't really care if I lost hearts.. I don't like how they're just out in the open for everyone to see. I know that many people would treat you differently, if they saw you with less hearts.

Sure saying "**** you" is not bad....at least for you.
But if they let this go then the person who said "**** you" will become a drama flame maker because he knows that nobody would do anything about it.

That's right, you should get a notify or warning before being removed for 2 hearts. Even if someone did wrong.

I agree about hearts being private info that only you and other admins or mods can see. I want a heart back. And Lunar now Limey will never give you your heart back because you apparently flamed by saying **** you! :_:

To me, this whole heart system seems like too much serious business. Warnings should be entirely verbal, not based upon a system that allows no excuses.

We're a community, we need to act as one. Having a system do the work for us is a horrible, horrible idea.

I'll fix it for you.

Please next time contact an administrator. It is not a public issue, and you will not get a heart restored in the process.

The filter is for people who don't wish to see cussing, saying '!@#$% you' to someone would fall under flaming them, not under 'just cussing'.

We can clearly assume Lunar was joking, thus he wouldn't be penalized ;P -- I didn't see the 'warning' in question, thus I can't judge.
