Some are not happy about black lines, but it is what I have to work with for the time being, there is quite a few who likes it though.  8)
Bianca Fight/Stance

Heros, Rivals, Anti-Heros and Bad Guys #1

Copy-Kat is the only good guy turned true villain on the spr sheet, while Shameik and Nora are temporarily Anti-Heroes.

Shameik is a parkour/thief who sees the heroes as fakes, while Nora protects most of the native american pop in Philadelphia when The Establishment were trying to kidnap victims for experimentation, hence why she doesn't trust anyone until saved herself.

Most of the UK heroes are a team, flash-back sprites, expect Flo and Bella are deceased, killed by Sheer's Establishment.

You have a bug to fix at the end, but it was a funny bug. xD

Dang, forgot about that one. That happens if you are almost dead, taking damage while doing a whirlwind attack causes that.

But at the same time I don't think he would have made it pass that cave when the Goron attacks on phase 2 :D, this boss can easily be avoided by not talking to the blue haired kid or acting like you seen nothing, which results in a bad ending to the quest.

But ya whirlwind attack when taking a killing blow causes that, this I will fix.

EDIT:

I realized 54:50, when he is in the lake area, the bridge's real sprite isn't showing, he's using the buggy .exe, the older one >_< instead of replacing it with the new link on the ncfc booth.

Na, I've seen it. This guy recording probably had a pretty slow pc.
Even the main menu lagged.

He probably also had a ton of other things open as well.
I tried out the demo and it was fine for me, Windows 8.1 Laptop :D
All in all, most of their playthrough is either n64 games or just mariovania.

For those that tried the demo out this time around during ncfc, big thanks, mainly for those who had to endure the optional boss in cave, if going for the good ending for the side-quest :D.

The next demo will be expanded upon, ocean areas have been will be open and this time I will unblock 3 dungeons and 3 sub-dungeons that had been blocked off for those who found the transportation boat, as well has hero mode various of some enemies, the Deku Mask, Epona missions, and make the dungeons a bit easier, some enemies will still have their high level of diffculty though ;).

As for the demo, depending on the ending, it does effect future progress in-game and quests. As for the 2 errors, ally dying fast during dasum fight/not harming dasum and knocking enemies off screen, those have been change and the fix is under testing.

I'll make some time to update forum thread this time around for I haven't been keeping updates on there for sometime now.

Testing enemy A.I and using the better sprites for the player object

<a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vzVTqALTAP0" target="_blank">http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vzVTqALTAP0</a>

I changed James sprite so that it matches the others. Also alts and other Konta family members. The real surname for the last dude is Darius S.Ishibash, he is a cousin, but does not accept his other family members.

Jason Konta
Show content
The older twin brother of James, who ran off after James defeated him in front of everyone during a tournament event in New Japan. It is unknown to what happen to him, but he ends up becoming a mercenary and resides in the Middle East, near India. He aids there and soon is hired to help out against Allfather, which failed, and him becoming a target to the crazed dictator. He ends up in America and with news going about J-Myare, he thinks his younger brother turned evil, only to find out it was a clone when James pleaded with him. He joins his brother and soon in return, James helps him against Allfather when a tournament rose in the Philippines.

Joshua Konta
Show content
The younger brother of James and Jason. He was young when both his brothers left, but he has the company of Jackyln and her father, Ahkiro Konta. He trains in a mixed technique that matches that of a samurai and a ninja and soon became one of the best, surpassing Jacklyn herself, and probably above his two older brothers. He puts his skills to the test when the time to defend New Japan took place.

Jacklyn Konta
Show content
She is a cousin of James. She is one of the first to witness her cousin James and defend him from the Metalheads, who soon impaled and seemingly killed James. She fought to the very end until she was nearly killed herself, but is saved by James, who turned out to be alive. After James left to America, she resides at her father's dojo alongside Joshua. A criminal soon broke free those imprison and stole robotic parts to attack the people of New Japan, however, Jacklyn and other young defenders step up to defend their homeland.
She later goes to America herself after reuniting with James during the Haiti/Dominican Republic attack carrier situation.

Darius S.Ishibash (Does not accept the Konta surname, but he is still blood)
Show content
One of the fearless Shadowstep Clan fighters who reside in the islands of Micronesia. He thinks Joseph Konta, James' father and husband of his aunt Hinata Ishibash, killed his father, however, it was a stunt made by a very jealous Dragni who sought power. His father wasn't actually killed, instead was sent into a hibernative state, and he believes that the Konta must pay for nearly killing his father. Unknown to him, he was being manipulated to think this way due to Darius himself being a strong powerhouse Dragni who isn't a stranger to killing his victims.

Despite being a cousin of the Konta, he hates Joseph and sees anyone close to or bearing the name as the same, however, he has never seen them (only met Joseph when he was a child), nor came into contact with them until several years later. Darius is a major villain who soon combined forces with The Establishment after the fall of Allfather's dictatorship in the Philippines. He soon goes to NYC to terrorize James and company, wanting to destroy them when a tip was given to him about individuals named James and Jason.

True. Some with the focus of making this mario game or that pokemon game then get a sudden take down just don't come up with ideas easily afterwards. There are others who have a plan if anything like this were to happen, like Dream Mix's project for example.

I ran into one video sometime ago some dude was saying if they take down his game, he's done with game making lol, but I guess some people don't consider making their own thing aka have a plan B then again some people know the risk of making a fan-made project from the beginning.

Which reminds me, has there been any situation in the past whereas a fan game really harmed Nintendo in some way? I know there is intimidation from a fan made project, but I don’t know if there was a project that had harmed Nintendo in the past.

All in all, if it looks really good, Nintendo will take it down, example, super Mario 64 remake, if it generates revenue, Nintendo will definitely take it down, ex. gamejolt games/flappy bird, if it gains popularity, same end result, Zelda maker.

On a side-note, I do know that oot-2d is somewhat alive, only in facebook though, but haven’t seen much of Sage on youtube. Also it turns out Nintendo is going through channels on Youtube now just to generate revenue or remove from your videos. I had a vid up 6-7 years ago I made and it was claimed that I was using TP music HD…. In like 2009 when the HD edition came out 2016? 0_o

Pretty weird, huh.

Also Sega is kind to it's fans:
http://kotaku.com/sega-takes-shot-at-nintendo-encourages-fans-to-keep-ma-1786527246

Yeah, what monsters for trying to protect their own creative content.
They are the worst kind of monsters as well! Damn you Nintendo for protecting your IP's!

On a more serious note, c'mon guys. There are a lot of creative minds here on this forum and I'm actually surprised that there are so few original projects on this site. I've been over at the TIG-forums and wow, the projects over on that site is crazy. I would love to see that kind of creativity on this site as well. So, don't be mad at Nintendo for protecting their own content, I bet you guys would be pissed if someone tried to leech on your content as well.

EDIT: I'm not pointing any fingers haha. Since I've been working on fan games as well, but I came to a realisation that hey, if I can come up with cool and original stuff that could make a fan game good and come somewhat close to making it feel like the real deal, then why not make something completely original and actually get my name out there in the industry. I can say that making an indie game is so much easier now then it was a couple of years back. Now we got Steam Greenlight, Kickstarter, Indiegogo and such.
Yes protecting their IP, but some fans just got a way of expressing how much they like a game franchise. In a way I understand people like on gamejolt who were generating revenue from said games. 500+ games tho, that's a lot.

But yeah making an original idea isn't easy. That takes time if you are starting from scratch.

AS I said before, if I get enough done on my zelda game, I would do a bit of work on my side-project.

I'll just be updating the sprites for the characters here, not going to put up top-down versions of these characters until those are all done.

Friends and Foes

Bosses upgraded sprs (Terrai, Beast-Li, Zegma, DJ Nadi)

James Konta

Bianca Airesus (Steel Maiden)

Yula Steelbound

Shouboku (Floating Head Phase)

Ryuka Jezaku (Neo Yakuza Boss)

Hiro "BullBot" Haidaku

Makes me think, even, let's say you haven't release a demo or some download, they still come after you? I have been delaying my game for the longest because I am paranoid with small fixes and whatnot, my last demo has Chu gels that can strike you down in almost one hit due to bug.

But yeah, I won't stop adding on to my game, Nintendo needs a reality check, plus I do have a side-project that is very very early in the works if it comes to a last resort.

Anyone who's interested - I've released version 1.0 and consider the game done. Start the countdown to the DMCA take down notice...

Download the game at http://sites.google.com/sites/zeldabom/download

It may not be perfect, so feel free to report any issues on the bug tracker that's linked to on the site. I'll update for any bug fixes until the game is inevitably taken down.

Will try it out myself when I get time. Yeah man, Nintendo Lawyers are in full force this time around, huh. I didn't know they were this hellbent until I saw what ncfc said and the youtube vids that followed.

Update 0.18 is out and comes with some neat improvements and bugfixes.
I've extended two new fonts, the first font is used for the HUD in order to (if you don't use default control keys) the chosen control keys are shown. This font is also used on the ocarina surface. The second font is used to show the location name. Each time you enter a new location in Zeldamon the location name is shown a while(see screenshots). Also, escape button is back again and asks if you want to quit the game and the last resolution is saved if you quit the game.

Code: [Select]
Changelog 0.18(11th September, 2016):

- Custom control keys are showed on HUD if default control keys have been changed
(Controls can be changed in settings.ini, not implemented ingame yet)
- XBOX controller keys are showed on HUD as well if XBOX controller is plugged in
- Control help added if player is creating new slot
- Zone names are displayed in adventure maps now
- If you press Escape, the game asks if you want to end the game
- Last resolution used is saved now in settings.ini
- Changed background color of game informations
- Better HUD integration during menu gamestate

- FIXED BUG: Ice blocks doesn't melt and just disappears
- FIXED BUG: Crash during title screen if other graphical applications are open
- FIXED BUG: Hearth surface is shown wrong if other graphical applications are open

Nice, those tiles look so clean and crisp. They blend in so well :)

Perfect opportunity for Nintendo to issue DMCAs to everyone in attendance...

Exactly, that's why I am a bit neutral on joining or not. Nintendo went after a project like the pokemon game and metroid, both of which that had underwent years of development and such.
This is why I make sure my game remains in a dead state, when it truly isn't, on the side, showing a non-Nintendo project.
I, and I am sure many more, have come waaaay to far with their development of said project to be stopped by Nintendo's legal team, so much for creativity.  >:(

Speaking of Nintendo, just about a month ago, they went after one of my old, noob youtube videos, for twilight princess music, vid wasn't taken down, but I got notice that Nintendo wants revenue from the video from 6 years back.... Those monsters...

Nintendo sure likes to come in and kill someone's creativity.

At this rate, its like they going on a hunt, kinda like a dbz villain going planet to plant destroying it. Would suck if they came here.

Tried it too, best thing since sliced bread :p (a joke I heard recently)

Believe it or not, Nintendo, has or is in the process of C&Ding this project.
They already had Pokemon Uranium's back to the corner with whatever they are throwing it's way.

I think the problem is, once the HYPE TRAIN comes for a fan made project, it gets big and when it gets big, Nintendo will come in and do some serious damage on said project. The hype train people on the internet I think is the cause lol.

Also IGN, Gamespot and various game media covered Pokemon Uranium and AM2R, giving Nintendo the element of surprise to attack. :D

What have you got done so far, any screens or videos of your work? Somewhere where someone can point out what needs to be fixed or an area that needs to be tuned up, etc.

Unless you are starting from the ground up or using an open source, you will have to get some other things out of the way first before adding an online function, unless you got Link object up and moving already.

Also welcome to ZFGC.

Maybe because the thread is in "Discussion" and no one posted in this since to 2014 so I had to pull it up again :D

I will give it a try for sure. :)

Yeah I tried to get it on project section sometime ago instead of making a new thread there.
There's going to be a bit of a delay to April 4 on Monday, was doing a few test runs and stress tests just now and the game crashes during the bandit dungeon. So I'll have to experiment and see what is causing the crash.

EDIT:

Turns out the problem was the room for the dungeon itself. What I need was reduced objects in the room and kinda reduced the room a bit, breaking it into other sections instead of it being a huge map on it's own. Now that this is out of the way just having the game tester try it out once again to see if everything is alright, he's going to make another video about it.
I had some spare time so I re-created the boss too, I figured he was way to easy to be an end-demo boss, so I made him harder.

Keep an eye out on May 14, 2016.

I'll give it a test run when I get back home later. As always if I find anything out of the ordinary I'll let you know.

Also I dunno if it is me but the link comes up broken for me, error 429. I'll try when I get home.
