I was shocked to hear this. Rarely spoke to him, but I've known the guy since my childhood, going on 13 or 14 years at this point I figure.

Rest in peace buddy, you remind us all how fragile life is. I'll pour a drink for you tonight.

>Underleveling does not add challenge to a fight

Well, that is highly dependant on the game.
People have beaten Dark Souls without leveling up and using the starting gear. This is a game where you can beat it with pure skill, and leveling up simply makes it easier.
You seem to be referring more to JRPGs, but even then if you exploit the game and use clever strategies, you can overcome many difficult moments without dragging it out for years.

On the other hand, if you're intentionally overleveling everything you're just wasting your time and playing a game for all the wrong reasons. Just watch a Let's Play if you don't even want to play it as intended.

Dark Souls?

I just finished my third playthrough of Dark Souls and I was about to post this.

You really are just dropped into this strange world and left with only your own wits to figure out what to do.

I got a similar treatment, and I thought it was hilarious.

Nintendo, I don't give a !@#$% if your console is nuclear or hamster-wheel powered. I'm not going to even consider purchasing it until you show me some games.

Majora's Mask is for men, Ocarina of Time is for babby plebeians who can't think for themselves.

Minish Cap is also really underrated.

What do you mean, another Metroid?

Team Ninja never made a Metroid game.

Nope, never.

I'll listen to anything good aside of Rnb, jazz, Jpop, and country.

To completely disregard entire, massively varied genres like that is crazy. Jazz, seriously?

Unless I am misinterpreting you.

You guys have nobody but yourselves blame for falling for such a cheap troll. Shame on you.

It's kind of hilarious that this place is so dead that I recieved negative karma and a warning for a joke. Are the mods so bored that they look for any and all excuses to abuse their power? You all have known me long enough not to take stuff like that seriously, how disrespectful.

Oh, and it may have been a poor troll but you fell heavily for it, that makes it highly successful on my end, and a failure on yours. Please, give me another warning for this, you guys clearly need the catharsis.

You seem like a smart guy, you should know that Wikipedia is easily vandalized and that any and all information therein cannot be considered valid.

I'm sorry, but I have higher standards for my sources.

Yahoo Answers and 9gag have a highly-trained team of historians and lawyers that fact-check any posts beforehand. If it's not accurate, it's not approved. Stop spreading misinformation.

I hope for your sake you're joking there :x

I'm not joking, I did my research and both Yahoo Answers and 9gag say that the quote is from Modern Warfare 3.

Checkmate.

Anyone who's been here for a long time probably remembers my obsession with Pink Floyd in my early teenage years. That obsession remains, but I've also expanded my musical tastes.

I now count Pink Floyd, Jefferson Airplane, Queen, Rush, Johnny Cash, Ella Fitzgerald, Muse, NWA, Pendulum, Joe Hisaishi, The Protomen, Leonard Cohen and They Might Be Giants among my favorites. Pretty eclectic, I guess.

I guess I'll copy the format of the first two posts.

MISCHIEF MAKERS
Platform: N64

Description: A platformer where your only attack is to shake and throw things. You're a cute female cyborg and have to repeatedly rescue your absent-minded creator, Professor Theo.

What Makes This Game A Hidden Gem: Has all the staples of a cult classic video game. Quirky humor, writing, graphics and gameplay. The cover art alone is bizarre and definitely stands out on a shelf. I think this game sold pretty well as the cartridge seems common, yet it's never really attained a great level of acclaim from the mainstream press / audience.

I've been making a habit of hitting up flea markets on a weekly basis, and have amassed a fair backlog of video games to play in the process.

Right now I'm finishing up Super Mario RPG (my favorite game of all time). Then I'm finishing Majora's Mask which I started a week earlier. From there, my list begins.

- Final Fantasy II (SNES)
- Final Fantasy III (SNES)
- Final Fantasy IX
- Final Fantasy X
- Final Fantasy XII
- Banjo Kazooie
- Banjo Tooie
- Golden Sun
- Goemon's Great Adventure
- Okami
- Dragon Quest VIII

Just to name a few.

Tell my family I love them.
