Took a few minutes and sprited a Minish Cap style Twilight Princess Beamos. I know it's missing some stuff, but how do ya think it turned out?

not a bad start. I can see where you can go with this.
Make it slightly larger, and add some of the MC style shading.

Here, I'm not much of a spriter to begin with, much less do i know how to properly shade something, but i added another two colors to the mix and ended up with this.

Hmm...
Do you have an MC palette? Because I'm not getting an MC "vibe" form this sprite =\

I do, but I'm a terrible shader. I've tried a few others in the mean time.

Fifth draft:
I like this one better than the previous ones. I think it has more depth to it, with slightly more correct shading. Tell me what you think!

A Minish Cap Beamos should really be based on the Wind Waker Beamos.  :{

The main reason i didn't do one of them, is because I've never played WW. But, if you'd like, i'll sprite one tomorrow (im getting off now) and see how it looks.

I don't get an MC vibe either, but that has mostly to do with the angle you are viewing the beamos.

Every structure (which does include beamos), and even most enemies and characters in MC is viewed from a 3/4 top down angle, yours is straight from the front. This beamos is good if you want to make a sidescroller in MC style, but not for a game like MC.

I completely trashed the old one, and with the help of a "Shading Tutorial" came up with this.
And... here's the wind waker beamos. Sorry, it didn't come out too well, minish cap's palette doesn't have much in the way of rust green.

Sinkindevil's head on my beamos. I swapped to your palette, and used the non depthed looking one. Personally i think it looks great, but it definitely needs depth. Anyone care to have a go?

I'm sorry to say this, but that doesn't really look good. The angle is completely wrong. It is as if the beamos is looking up.

If you look at Link, you see that he is viewed from an angle. At a view from the front the eyes would be halfway the head, but instead the eyes are slightly lower. And the legs aren't visible.

That Beamos6shaded is still the best looking.

I'm aware of that. Actually, i stated that. It does need angling and depth added to it, but it's a good design. I was just wondering if anyone wanted to take their hand to it and make it better.

I might give it a try shortly, I'll just find some screenshots of the thing.

I changed the angel of the head and did some small edits on the body to make it fit better, but there is two angels of the head:

So, what do you think?

Awright, lads.  Here's my take on it.  v.1

I can already see some spots that need fixed, but I'm done for now.  I might post an update later, I dunno.

edit:  I made a quick alteration.  v.1.1

there's a perspective and shading comparison. The MC perspective is a lot more top-down than you'd think.
I'd almost go as far to say that you might just be able to see the red dot on the other side.
