MEGEMAN/ROCKMAN IV  ~  Theforeshadower

Sorry, guys.  Wish I had more freetime during this month to put more into it.  I kept hitting road blocks while programming and whatnot.  That combined with work and wanting to program The Final Age to get it ready for NCFC is what really hindered this.

It's mostly just an engine test.
The file size is huge because of the full intro from the NES game.

Controls:
Arrow keys to move/ move the selector on the level select screen
Enter is start
X to shoot/charge weapon
Z to jump
Down + Z to slide
I = skips to the next room once you get to the select screen

Sorry, guys.  I admit I should have put more time into this.  I am sorry that I didn't and admit that is why this one fails.

When the animated intro started, and the memories of playing Megaman on NES came flooding back, it was actually quite a disappointment when I could do nothing more than walk, shoot and slide when I actually hit a level I could get into.
I had expected more, I have to admit. But aside from that, the walking, jumping, sliding, shooting and the animation for it all worked well. When i tried the slide move, it think the sprite appeared a bit too high above the ground. Also, if you jumped or walked, and held the down arrow afterward, the sprite was held in a running/falling position.

It was a good try, and the intro gave a good first impression, but I have to go with only a 5 =(

Good luck if you continue on it tho, as it have good potential. :)

Do you have WinRAR? Or some other unzipping program? If not, you can't unzip it, sorry.

There are a few obvious flaws, such as that the level ends abruptly (??), and that there is no shooting animation for the gun. Could Mega Man really charge shots in MM2? It was a good attempt, but you didn't quite reach the finish line.

No, he couldn't. This is an MM4 remake, BTW.

Actually, there is an animation for shooting.  It just plays too fast because of some conflicting variables.
As I said, there are flaws since this didn't get as far as I wanted it(does no one read the info part ?).
This is a Megaman IV attempt...not Megaman II.  Of course levels end abruptly as this is more engine than demo. :/
