I'm not sure though but I'm thinking there should eventually be a tourney for Mario Kart Wii. It does seem a little hard to organize but the great thing is that there is no lag. I'm guessing we'd have 4-player matches. I'm thinking that we wouldn't record the races but rather keep track of who comes in first and possibly record the track times somewhere.
If not, we could go with Ghosts. Basically, someone has to reach a certain time in Time Trial and then send the ghost to somebody who has a capture card or video camera and record the time for the ghost or something. I dunno. Just an idea you know.

I think that's a good idea...another one is to have 12 ZFGCers in a race.

Use your brain, there is a change username item in the shop. Also, if there are going to be more tournaments, perhaps there should be official accommodation.

I thought that item didn't work? I got an admin to change it for me. Anyway, we should discuss about it some more I guess.

Again, if you use your brain you will see that the item that is listed as being "out of order" in the shop is the one that changes a user's title. The one that changes a user's username is currently out of stock, but it probably still works as the last time I used it did. If anything, restocking the shop could have happened or something.
And yeah, official accommodation would be helpful so that if there are any more requests for this that it doesn't have to be assessed and planned so independently; not to mention the reliance on staff to update the news box makes accommodation easier in operating procedure. However, there is always an issue with demand for it and if there is not reasonable demand or any practicality, then it defeats itself.

Sounds good. Once the Brawl Tourney is over, I guess I'll start planning out an idea for what to do.

I'm guessing the brawl tournament is going to finish in about a week. Just guessing because it's at the semi-finals now.

I'll probably be able to participate if it takes place after July 12 (planning on getting MKwii for my birthday)
Note, I did rent the game though, so I do actually have a friend code for it.

I'm sorry that people seem to not readily know the features of this forum as "well" as you seem to but please don't be condescending about it, it's just rude.
As for this tourny, if you want it done relatively soon I suggest that some people start petitioning the administration so they can set you up with a section like the brawl competition and you can start planning. I would love to join up but I won't be around for it and I don't have the game, but good luck to all the competitors!

A little bit of my frustration was probably founded in that the current tournament is not over, so discussing another one at this time feels a little before the fact. However, Yubel seems to know what he is doing; makes me wish I had Mario Kart though, kind of wish I did indeed. If you are running it Yubel though I can help you out in that I have analyzed the past tournament and found a few flaws in at least in part of the way I planned. Feel free to ask me if you need to, but I bet you can handle it on your own.

Hmm... I would need some help along the way with rules and stuff. I won't start too much planning yet because I don't know if this is gunna happen. I'll try to make sure there are no flaws with this one. I have no clue what the prize for this one will be other than an award and some Rupees.
If anybody is interested, bug the admins and demand one and if you are interested, mention it here and give me a PM. I'm thinking of having a couple different categories for this idea so you guys might be surprised.
