Graphics / Photo Editing.
« on: May 16, 2007, 03:21:29 am »
I was surfing around for pictures of Britney Spears for a friend, and I found this grimy ass one that I thought was particularly grotesque. I clicked it to see it up close and I noticed it was on a tutorial site. So.. apparently, they were trying to fix Britney's "busted" face.. and they were miserable at it. So, I gave it a shot. I only spent about fifteen minutes on it.. but it came out better than whatever they did. XD I never tried editing hair before... so that looks the same. :P

And then here's the website where I found it..
http://www.photoshoplab.com/fixing-busted-britney.html

Thoughts?

EDIT:
A few myspace edits I did for my cousin.

Can't find the originals for these last two.. but you get the idea. XD

It's for an art class assignment. .. It was a stupid project.. from the other teacher that I don't even have this year. But.. she came into our class and MADE us do it. .. So. yeah. It's prisma markers on some weird waxy paper. I had to scan it twice because it was so big.. so.. if you notice any problems, that'd be why.

Graphics / Added Sunken Town -
« on: January 08, 2007, 08:09:40 am »
EDIT: Just pieced together the bottom some. May change..

EDIT: Detiled version thus far.
http://img263.imageshack.us/img263/296/scul5.png
Thanks TaKaM.

EDIT:

Okay so.. I added another section to town. This one has fallen victim to some water damage.. [cough] I figured I'd make it so one of the walls in the main city broke and in from the other side poured a rough current. Yeah well.. it drains into this town and kills all of it's inhabitants. I've also decided that I want the city to be on lock down normally. So.. if you can't leave the city, you can't get to the decaying forest. I figured I'd make an entrance to it [or at least a cave leading to it] in the sunken section of town. Yeah.. Thoughts?

EDIT:

Added the dying foresttttt. I think it came out okay.. maybe a bit busy. I may have to tone down some of the details. What do you guys think?
edit: I pieced it together so you don't have to imagine.

EDIT:

Added the Temple of Time and just about finished the top right side of town.

EDIT:

Updated the section of town to the right of the castle. This section isn't done yet. : /

EDIT:

Small small update on the top. Took longer than I thought it would, though. I'm working on more now.

EDIT:

^^Very large file. It's my workspace. I added a lot to the top of the town. Yeah.

Discussion / A Proposal.

***WindWaker Spoilers... ish. =P

So.. I've been trying to get more into the game making section on this forum. I've never really looked here TOO much other than to check out some graphics that don't get posted on the boards. As I was looking around, I noticed the game LoZ: The Last Day, [Which looks awesome, by the way. Can't wait for a little storyline. =D] and it got me thinking.
Windwaker is one of my favorite Zelda's strictly because of the history it involves. I love how, in they're last attempt to save Hyrule, they pray onto the Gods, begging for help. .. and in turn, they get nothing but a time freezing flood. [Of course that did it no justice.. but.. I think it's a pretty amazing background. I got goosebumps while I was playing.] ..
Anyway.. I want to make a game. Nothing huge. A short story based on the events leading up to the flood. I mean. .. something only a few days long. [Game time, that is.] We're not even talking extensive dugeons here. I'm thinking most of the game would be in Hyrule Town itself. .. It's just something I think would be fun.
It'll most likely be in GB graphics.. because I love them.. and I'm not quite sure who the protagonist would be. Since there whole point is that there's a lack of a hero, you'd have to be playing as some random person. Or perhaps Zelda? It's not something I've put tons of thought into yet, it's just the idea that appeals to me right now.
So.. yeah. I'm wondering if anyone's interested in this. I'm thinking it's only necessary to work with one or two other people. I don't want you to be involved with anything else, either. Not even if it's on hiatus. I don't want to be spending months on this or else I'll lose interest. [cough]theoldMMGB[cough] It's just something I think would be fun to play.
Please feel free to reply with ideas and comments .. help shape the thought into a game. =D

Does Tingle make his debut? :D
Don't worry about spoiling any plot points. Spoilers don't bother me. :3

Graphics / Wakka!!
« on: November 24, 2006, 09:14:06 am »

I could never win the mandatory game of blitzball in FFX. And after every game, Wakka looked at me all depressed.. and it killed me. And.. that's why I like Wakka. So... pats for Wakka.

Not quite finished yet.

Oh.. he's floating in water if you can't tell. [But hopefully you can. n___n]

I don't quite know what I'm doing.. haven't made anything in a few months. Figured I'd try. Came out pretty crappy. Maybe I'll.. try to recover it tomorrow. Ish.

Image quality = boo.

EDIT: New one. <3

Graphics / Complete - Zora's Domain - GB Style, of course.
« on: November 09, 2006, 07:23:14 pm »

[Scroll down. n___n]

So.. I was kind of bored today. Uhm.. lesse. Since Zora's Domain overlaps so much, it's kind of hard to do in 2-D. My solution - use little doors in the cliffs. =P The door farthest south brings you under all the rocks and over to where the underwater entrance of the place is. The door next to the shop brings you over to where you catch the fish in the shallow water. Hm hm.. it's not quite done. I'm working some things out now. If you spot any tiling errors, let me know. If any one has any other ideas on how to make the walkways, I want to know those as well. XD

- I added those trees because everything looks really boring.. I'm trying to fix that now. : /
I need the signs and ladders and all that.. but.. that's the basic layout.
Hmm..

EDIT:

Made it a little more lively. I'm going to piece them together in a minute.

EDIT: Done, I think.

« on: August 04, 2006, 03:53:21 pm »
Yeah.. I blocked Firefox on accident with Norton GoBack.. Now I'm getting this:

Server not found

Firefox can't find the server at www.zfgc.com.

    *   Check the address for typing errors such as
          ww.example.com instead of
          www.example.com

    *   If you are unable to load any pages, check your computer's network
          connection.

    *   If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make sure
that Firefox is permitted to access the Web.

Anyone know how to fix that? (-___-") I'm such an idiot sometimes.

Only the side view is done so far.

UPDATE:

Uhm.. yeah. Still working on it. I made it awhile ago.. but it was huge. So, now I'm fixing it up for MMGB. I'm going to try and add some contrast. It's lacking as of now. Eh.. It's still kind of big.. and ugly. Tail needs to be fixed up, too. .. But.. I'm off to work.. so.. I'll do that later. XD

EDIT: Help me out, here.

I'll upload the older version in a second. It was ugly. <2
EDIT: Blegh..

Not for use. Sorry.

I'm hoping on completing a short children's book.. that isn't really for children and much more depressing. I only have vague ideas on the storyline. Here's the illustration for page one. It scanned very, very lightly.. Not really finished yet, either.

Other Discussion / Jeans: From prices to tears.
« on: July 29, 2006, 06:16:08 am »
Id' really like to know what everyone thinks about ripped jeans.. and their prices. Hah hah. I know it's a strange topic.. but I thought it may be interesting. I love ripped jeans.. I've bought eighty dollar jeans before and don't really plan on stopping. :P I found this hot site through MySpace.. they have amazing jeans. I plan on bumming fifty bucks from each of my parents to get them for school in September. .. I'll pay for everything else.. just.. not them.. because... if it's my money, I feel I've wasted it. n____n

http://www.destroyeddenim.com/

<22

Of course there's the "Well.. just make them yourself." Yeah, I tried. It's hard as hell. I mean.. okay. So say you get the look you want? They just deteriorate in the wash. They get all kinds of ugly, the threads rip and then you just have gaping holes showing all sorts of things down under that would get you in trouble. XD I don't know.. making them yourself is fun and all, but it's a waste of jean after the second wash. D: I'd really like to learn how to preserve them longer.

What do you guys think? Hah.

Other Discussion / Viewing .ffb files?
« on: July 07, 2006, 05:09:38 am »
Okay so.. recently, I've been searching around the net for FFX related things.. just because it's my favorite game.. and I found a model viewer. I've seen screen shots and from what I can tell, it's amazing. So I download some thing.. I'm not sure what it is and all the models of the characters and whatever. Great. Wonderful. Except.. they are saved in a .ffb format. Has anyone heard of it before? I haven't. : / I'm almost positive I'm supposed to open the files with this program I downloaded, but the program won't work. So, I'm wondering, is there any other way to view .ffb files? Thanks in advanced.
