Entertainment / Re: DSs sure are expensive
« on: October 11, 2007, 02:41:05 am »
I decided I'd try and get to play Phantom Hourglass, so I went to Gamestop's site and found out the cheapest used DS there was priced at a fooking 80$.  I checked around some more and said "WTF" when I found that a used Gamecube costs a lot less.  How can a handheld be more expensive than a console?  Or even more expensive than the console games coming out in November or December?

NDS's are more current than a GCN, and NDS's are better in every way exept power, but then comes posibilaty with that touch screen and 2 screens. so it makes perfect sense.

Discussion / Re: Coders: How much of a charge is it to port a game?

My engine would be like a zelda game engine, without many items, and the menu could be made the bottom screen.

It's also about the lenth of MM minus all the time traveling

Very nice. Fix the blob, and you'll have a perfect sprite.

I want to know how much money one of you guys would charge to port a Zelda game made in GM7/6 to PAlib(C Coding), an NDS library(http://palib.com)

Can anybody help?

Deal and Deal.

Like I said,$5 was a random guess. But 7-8 dollars? Sure.lets see...

with each song on the list above being one minute ,plus 2 more for whatever, at $10 thats $150. Now thats a good deal. :D OK, Q.K. I'll PM you in about 15 minutes.

BTW, do you accept PayPal?

Well lets say I'm on low budget, and this production is big, even though all i can think of for music:

Final Boss
Chase
Boss
Temple
PyraCity
Forest
Lake
Desert
Enemy attack
MiniBoss
Town
Sunset
AirShip

I'll have to go with Q.K.
How much do you charge? Ive never done this stuff before,so I don't know.If you really want me to come up with a price...(randomizer) 5 bucks per minute, and 3 buck per minute if its very repetative, plus 5 dollers per song cost?

I'm way off, aren't I?

So how much do you charge, Q.K.?

Wow, this is a nice technique. Other than the security risk, that is.
This'll become useful for Final Memory. I'll definitely credit you for this.
