Okay, I have some song files in .WMA format, however, the files have license in them and I cannot play the files but only in the computer where it was originally created. Are their any free programs to remove the license from the files?

I created the files, some reason a license has been applied.

Are these your own songs?  As in you made them yourself?  Otherwise, I believe that's illegal.

It might be illegal, but I'm sure there is software out there that will allow you to remove DRM from things. Google Audio converters. Look for open source ones.. or perhaps give itunes a swing. We're not here to ask the legitimacy of what he's doing.. as long as hes not illegally spreaading content.. the licensing could be from some.... album he made himself and his record company put stuff on it. >.>

If you ripped them from a CD, rip them again but this time uncheck the copy protection thing in Windows Media Player's tools > options > rip music.

See, I have some Wal-Mart Song I paid for but are protected and I cannot put them on a disc for myself.

Edit: By the way, doesn't Microsoft have any software that removes the DRM?

I'm positive that's a no-no.

Yep as Neo said thats a no-no. Format-shifting isnt legal in a lot of countries unfortunatly.

That would sort of defeat the point of DRM.
