Hey guys. I got a small boon in cash recently and I want to buy an HDTV for my PS3. Problem is, I don't know which TV to choose. O_o

I'm looking for something 19'' or higher. Less than $400, preferably closer to $350. It has to be good for gaming (good sound and picture). I really could care less about actually watching high-def TV on it.

I figure you guys probably have small HDTVs for all of your 360s, so help me out. ;)

EDIT: Also, realized that this might be better in Tech Talk. :\

The best advice I can give you is to get an LCD.  Generally, they're better for gaming (no chance of "image burning").  Other than that, I don't have the expertise to suggest anything else.

Mm, I was hoping for a TV that has more than just HDMI input (Preferably one component, one composite, and one coaxial; for my other video game systems). Also, 16:10 I've heard is not a good aspect ratio for.. anything.

Yeah, that's a terrible deal for something that's going to be used as a TELEVISION. 16:10 is good for computer monitors because it lets you watch HD video and still have room on the screen for player controls, but I mean, if it's a TV, who gives a !@#$%?

Check NewEgg.com.

Looks okay, but I'd try to find a similar model with a higher contrast ratio and faster response time.

I'd buy it.  Some of the reviews would have me a bit worried but I'd get it.

y so cheap?

I'm running on a 22" Toshiba that I got from Circuit City for $400. Spend a little bit of cash and get something nice, you'll regret going cheap later.

Because I like to not be totally broke after I buy something. I don't have that much, and I don't have a steady source of income, so having this much money is a rarity for me. Anyways, Dantz, what do you mean by a faster response time.

You have 500. Buy a nice $400 one and be left with $100. That's not broke.

Noo. I will have lots of money left over. :P I never have lots of money, and I like the feeling. What's really wrong with that 300 dollar one (besides the fact that some of them ship with a single stuck pixel)?

The response time is how long it takes for the TV to update an individual pixel when it changes. Essentially, a faster response time means less blurring, especially in games. I'd go for at the most 5ms, hopefully 2ms if you can find it.

Hmm, is 8ms really that bad? I really like the look of this TV, and there's not a single comparable TV for that price on NewEgg.
