Graphics / Zelda Navi Trackers - Redux
« on: July 12, 2015, 12:22:36 pm »
Some time ago I posted Navi Trackers graphics.
I finally decided to search for everything in the game's files to see if I could find anything, aaand:

Boom!

Some tiles have blue background because either I don't have the right palette, or I don't know which palette is the correct one. Sadly most of the characters are missing their respective palettes, also, some Link sprites are missing, like him holding pots, using the hammer, etc.
I edited the sprite sheet so y'all could see everything with different colors (like the numbers).

I'll be updating this topic if I find other stuff, hope it's interesting :)

I'm seeing true genius here. Just hoping you finnish it.

It looks great! A major improvement.

personally I would tilt the head less, and for the back arm, you should change the position of the elbow joint in the third frame so it doesn't look like his arm is growing.

Also, don't know if it's me but the arms look too small in comparison with the body.

I made the Shipyard! Took me like half a day.

But enjoy it, you should finnish the island now.  ;)

I could give it a go, but I don't have a PC right now. If no one does it by next week, I'll take a shot at it.

Great work man!
Definitely refreshing to see something from PH. Though there are some tilling errors near the bridge/waterfall and the entrance to the town.  ;)
where? I can´t see them... im working on it now so I can fix it right away.

EDIT: I tried to fix it, any better? (at the top the island is flooding XD)

EDIT 2: the one on the path way is also fixed. just not in the picture.

Yeah, that looks better.

I'd actually like to use it as well for King of Thieves.  I'll see if maybe Leduardo has any sheets of it then.  Can't ask King Mob since he's long gone :(

The tiles come from this image:

Actually I think those are two sets of tiles, one overlaps the other, achieving the effect seen in Wind Waker.
I attached them below. (note: I think the tiles that go above have transparent background.)

Great design and animation Kren!  :D

I actually went for the Overgrown Keese
A 4-foot tall black bat.

A not so detailed description but oh well, not too sure about the size tho.

+top-left: Idle and blinking.
+top-right: knocked down sprite.
+bottom: flying animation.

Aphex Twin - Lichen
No lyrics.

Expect a lot of my posts in here to be more stuff from him. He does everything.
Weird, I'm also listening to Aphex Twin, but I'm listening to Mookid :P

I found this, have no idea who it is tho.
Those are all mine (except the deku flowers), those where the old ones, and the animations aren't that well made, the newer ones are definitely better :)

Thank's a lot guys, I think you forgott when they pick up objects (like pots).
Also, does Deku Link blink? Because Goron, Zora and Oni do.

Maybe you could do Deku link flying and getting into a deku flower and shooting bubbles.

Yes of course, those are pretty obvious, but I need a whole list for every transformation (including fierce deity), also animations for items, and such.
Just so I don't miss any ;)

WOHA, that looks awesome!

Really great outlines, and I love the arc's shading,
Superb work Leduardo, this and the King of red lions are both amazing.

Keep it up ;)

Thanks for the great response from all of you, I really appreciate it.
I finished, some of the Wind Waker characters:

Nudge and Gonzo where the ones that gave me the most trouble (especially the eyes), while Aryll was the easiest.
I'm actually not very satisfied with Nudge's face, if anyone wants to edit it feel free to do so.

Now, I finished TP link's walking animation... really simple :P

And for MM, I finished the directions for every transformation, right now I have finished Deku Link's walking cycle and his spin attack.
If anyone could give me a list of every animation for all transformations, I would really appreciate that, since I think I will be forgetting some of them.

Nice recolors (tho I'm not very fond of them).
But I agree with Gonken, it's not really MC style, so here are some tips :)
1. Remove the shiny parts, MC sprites don't really look like they where covered in oil.
2. GB Ganon's sprite looks like it's looking directly at the screen, normal MC sprites aren't.

I added a file bellow so you can guide yourself, hope it helps.

P.S. DAMN! Leduardo that's amazing! 8)

Some great news, I finally started with the MM and TP sprites, all of these are for Link, I just updated them.

Here I cleaned Deku Link's sprite, the FSA Link is the real FSA Link, just put him there for
It to look complete, for Zora Link I definitely improved his stance and face, and for Goron Link
I Made him a LOT smaller and made him clearer. Bellow is a size comparison.

Here I just changed the colors, cleaned every sprite, elongated his face when facing south,
and made them one pixel shorter.

Just some things I want to say:
-For these (and other sprites) I will try to follow every rule of the original style so it could fit in with no problem.
-I haven't finished the Wind Waker ones so expect them soon ;)
-Every sprite (except for the originals) has/will have the right color pallet for no confusion (because of this, the FSA ones will have to wait some time for me to get every color I can).
-I will continue the contest Link and the castle, don't give up hope.
-I edited the main page for better organization, tell me if you like it, post some suggestions.

Hmm... that Zunari sprite looks very familiar... :)
Yes of course :) I think you used him for your MC styled Items.

So I kinda finished the contest link's walking cycle:

the only thing left is to animate his hair and cap. He is a little slow since I don't know how to animate GIFs...

Here's the sheet, I made him stick out his hand so he can grab his shield.

Hope you like  :P
