Need a couple of towns for your Zelda-fan games? Take a look here to see if you find anything you might want to use! As time goes by, more things will be added!
Forest Town - It's a small forest hidden away from everything else; it's a place that's been hidden away from "modern technology" since it was created.

Small Town - It's a small town located by the woods. The town is filled with large buildings.

Looks alright, though it's a little plain and empty. Most fan games tend to use a more cluttered environment with lots more "objects", etc. Influenced, perhaps, by .TaKaM in his pre-"ZFGC sucks" days.

Actually, I believe the buildings are Calvein's great work.

Looks alright, though it's a little plain and empty. Most fan games tend to use a more cluttered environment with lots more "objects", etc. Influenced, perhaps, by .TaKaM in his pre-"ZFGC sucks" days.
I really dislike how everything has to be "cluttered" to look good these days. Sure Takam. has a nice style but we don't HAVE to copy him to make good looking games. Heck, look back at ALttP, it wasn't even close to as cluttered as Takam.'s towns and that's the style half these games are apparently based on.
Having said that, I really like this town. I just think it's a bit average looking, you need to add something to make it stick out from the dozens of other forest towns people have made in the past.

Thats so true, Lttp didn't need crowded towns, it used cool overlays instead.

We dont know...he just hates the fact that we cling on to ZFGC while DSR and GA was made...
Even though ZFGC is still inmensly popular.

Yeah, even though Im pretty new here, my impression is that this is a nice community which becomes rarer and rarer to find... Lol, I've never been on any of his forums...
Back on Topic:
I think the small village is kind of average.. but the forest town has a nice design, that could be used in a game. Can you try and make an original town using MC Sprites?

i didnt really cling to zfgc... but DsR's creativity board is soooo dead... i dont like it... and other boards are very inactive

well, to be honest I don't really like forums.. I actually sometimes think that they suck... That is why I'm only active on ZFGC and MFGG messageboards.....

Eh... Anywho... Does anyone have rips of sprites from MC? Not tiles, but actual complete rips such as buildings, inside objects, walls, floors, trees, etc... etc... Basically, anything that I can use to create a town in MC style.
