Take a ruler and let someone hold it on the top. Place your thumb and index finger around the ru... Too lazy to explain,
i'll just draw a picture... although I already have explained like 90% of the experiment <__<
Unfortunately I'm not a Picasso so I hope this will do <.<
... the person who's holding the ruler has to drop the ruler suddenly, and YOUR
mission is to try to catch the ruler with your fingers as fast as possible! When that's done,
check on the ruler how many inches/cm/lols/hablabla/etc you got (average = 15cm/5.9 inches).
My record is 4 cm. Which according to my classmate is because I play video games (I really don't play video games that much) <___<
When you have done this a couple of times (like 4-5 times), find out what your fastest reaction speed was by using this formula:
t = 2
x s/g ( s = meters (1 meter ~ 39.37 inches), g = the gravitation (~9,81)).
Example:
First try: 6 cm (= 0,06 m = 2.36 inches )
Second try: 7 cm (= 0,07 m = 2.76 inches )
Third try: 4 cm (= 0,04 m = 1.57 inches )
Fourth try: 12 cm (=0,12 m = 4.72 inches )
Speed of my best try: t = 2
x (0,04 / 9,81) = 0.008 sec
Speed of my worst try: t = 2
x (0,12 / 9,81) = 0,024 sec
My average speed value:
[0.06+0.07+.0.04+0.12]/4 = 0.0725 m
t = 2
x (0,0725 / 9,81) =
0.0148 sec => Mission completed!
