An idea i got after seeing the "how its done" with Street fighter 2 HD.

Wow, nice. As said, it doesn't look too much like link ..in the sense that as you increase the size of the ALttP sprite, it looks a bit less like the character of Link.

Nevertheless, good work. I don't have many crits, as it's obvious that you were basing this off of the original. While it may have slight flaws, those were inherent in upgrading the original.

Despite all of that, the right side of the hair looks a slight bit ..too much higher than the left(and the hair could have more detail...) :-\. Or vice-versa, if you were link >__>.
(edit: and the tunic is a bit bright)

The hair and cap bug me quite a bit and don't look too close to the original. It would also look better with extra details suited to an HD sprite. Great work.

EDIT: Also, you've made the face much ounder than the original

I used the same colors as the original for the tunic, i guess its because i used less of the darker colours. Also the reason one side of the hair is much higher than the other is because i based it off the official art for ALTTP.
I guess i could try adding details to the hair, i but i wanted it to keep some of the alttp elements.

I obviously made the face rounder to make it seem less bittish and pixelly, and more smooth. I left out details to make it keep some of its ALTTPish, its not really an HD sprite, just a play on the street fighter title.

heheh, now your the one tellin people to elaborate
the main problem is that the lttp sprite is quite sketchy, it would look good blonde,
try that with a mc sprite

Your sprite looks great Desgardes. I've played the game for as long as I can remember, and I know where you're coming from with all of your changes to the sprite, the only thing else is that the ears aren't as pointed as far  upwards. But still, it looks great, most importantly, it maintains the same feel of the original.

If you were to change the color of Link's hair, make it brown. Don't just change it to appeal to those who played OOT first.

Since you ignored my crits, I put 'em into effect. I think it looks much better, more faithful to ALTTP (nicked the hairstyle from the artwork), hope you'll agree.

Mim did this a while back too, did a sign and a chest and bush, his were pretty good. So far I prefer Kame's, although he doesnt look like the ALTTP style as much.. although it's a really nice adaptation.
