Here are some practical commands for the text.

Part 1-- Color
Here are some commands to put in the message box to change teh color of the text in RPG Maker XP.

\C[0]-Changes the text color to white.
\C[1]-Changes the text color to indigo.
\C[2]-Changes the text color to red.
\C[3]-Changes the text color to green.
\C[4]-Changes the text color to cyan.
\C[5]-Changes the text color to purple.
\C[6]-Changes the text color to yellow.
\C[7]-Changes the text color to gray.

Part 2-- Commands

\N[X]-Shows the heros name.  X stands for the value of the hero. 0 will show the leader's name (leader of party).
\V[X]-Shows the value of a variable.  X stands for the variable number.
