They're not ALTTP...:P

They need to be more compacter and need more detail. Not bad though. But not ALTTP style.

They look good for what they are, but you were going to LttP, then they look pretty iffy. Those are not LttP, like Kleaver said.

Okay, I made them slimmer and shorter, but what sort of extra detail do you think I should add? :)

These are definitley not alttp style, change them to top down first of all, second make them more comact, third change the look in general. I suggest starting over.

1) I agree that a little perspective wouldn't hurt.
2) They're already the same size as a LTTP NPC
3) Do you actually know what the original guards looked like? I can change it up, but not too much without abandoning the original shape.

Yeah, they could stand some of what you said, but I think starting over's a little dramatic. ;)

I changed the heads. Now the skulls are edits of the LTTP stalfos. I also evened out the body a bit more and compacted it better.

That's much better. It's rather simple, but still looks good. Good job.

Thanks! ;D It's still open for improvement though. I think I'll embellish their clothes somehow. Add some symbol or something.

Now that looks alttp, but I would change the shading a bit the light center makes them look fat.

the perspective is messed up.  They way you have it, we are looking directly towards the sprite at the same level as it's body, but the head we are looking down on from an angle if you look at the link sprite from that game, or any npc or enemy, you can see their shoulders to an extent.  fix the perspective and the shading on the stomach, and it'll be alright.

K, sounds like my biggest problem is the way their robe is shaded. I'll fix it so they have shoulders later. And Des, I am using LTTP colors. :]

I didn't realize it before but Bearer is right the angle is off, part of the reason they look fat.
