For me to properly start work I need to know the screen dimensions used for Final Fantasy 4,5 and 6 on the GBA. Anyone know them?

It should be 256x224? Well that's the resolution the SNES used.
I'm not quite sure about this though, you should wait until somebody else confirms before you do anything.

They were remade as apposed to ported for the GBA;

The dimensions are the exact same as the GBA resolution.

I wonder if square-enix care much about Final fantasy fan games, like they do about Chrono Trigger fan games.

I think it depends on whether it is a ROM heck or not.

Im sure all the Chrono Trigger fan games were hacks, remakes(2D to 3, etc) or illegal.

I think they care mostly about which of their IP's are still making them revenue. When they cancelled CTR, I'm sure there was talk of releasing Chrono Trigger for DS down the line. As for ROM hacks, I'm sure they got C&D'd due to the sheer illegality.

I'm sure if it's a simple fangame which is, based on your post in gfx section, using custom/edited sprites and not direct rips, I don't think you'll need to worry about getting that dreaded email.

Although Im using the tiles and stuff. However, all graphics except the characters are credited to Square Enix.
