I recently torrented Roller Coaster Tycoon 2 and I can't stop playing it.  :o

I can't like this enough.

I actually got kinda bored with Fallout 3 after the beginning.

Well, since WoW is M (if I'm not mistaken), it's not meant for the kiddies anyway.

T, and easily passable for an E-rating without the cartoony blood. To me there's nothing wrong with a younger person playing the game with parental supervision. My mom let me play T-rated games when I was younger, and until I was 17 and could buy them myself she would rarely buy M-rated games for me.

The only place I can think of where this would really be an issue is for younger players. When I first started playing games online when I was 11, my mom made it very clear that I should never give out my name or any information about myself. Of course I do now, but !@#$%, I'm 20.

But Counter Strike Source wasn't a "good FPS" before. The addition of a killcam and achievements might just have made it a little more fun (haven't tried it yet, but I did install it again, which is a good step. :P)

Don't you play Modern Warfare?
I have played it, I wouldn't say I play it. The online shooters I've put the most time into are probably TF2, Half Life 2 Deathmatch, Uncharted 2 Online, and Metal Gear Online.

Good, because that was about to seriously derail your credibility.

Respect that Valve still gives a !@#$% about your 6 year old game.

/thread.

This doesn't make sense to me, of course because I haven't bought a new video game in years, but  I'm used to games that just get released and that's that.  No updates or add-ons.  I don't like this future of gaming where you constantly have to download updates for your games.  Why is the company still making changes to a game from six years ago, and why is that a good thing?

In this case though, it's really just tweaks to make it fit better into the new Steam interface, which has grown exponentially since CSS was first released. To me it's a formality more than anything.

(Once again this is all my opinion) Well, it makes sense since it's losing its sense of originality. Instead of being original, it is now following fads. The killcam for one.

But it's the same game. Achievements and a killcam don't change the mechanics of gameplay.

And when I said that it was going toward MW2, I pretty much meant that it was including all of the new gimmicks in first person shooters.

I don't really understand this at all. The core gameplay is unchanged. The fanbase is the same. The mods are being recoded. How does this make sense?

I like CSS personally, I think it's a really fun game and I've played it off and on for years. I played the "beta" before this new update and honestly didn't notice much different. What's the big deal?

Keep in mind, this is coming from the perspective of a more casual player.

I suppose it's fitting that Rare's move to Microsoft almost coincided with the end of my childhood. :P

Graphically, the game looks sweet as hell. What I'm really worried about is if Nintendo can do something exciting enough with this series to make me fall in love with it again.

I wish I had a Wii.

God, it feels so strange saying that...

Man, Donnie Darko is so overrated. At least it's still good, unlike other overrated movies. See: The Boondock Saints.

I don't even want to know what was going in their heads when they said "Hey, lets just add motion controls to the GameCube!".

They were thinking, "Hey, how can we be different without necessarily being good?"

I imagine it more like this:

"Grorious Nintender invent new controrrer! Change gaming!"
"Expensive! More than PS3!"
"Ret's attach it to a GameCube"
"HOYHOYHOYHOYHOYHOYHOYHOY IT PRINTS MONEY!"
If you don't like it, then don't buy it. Otherwise whining is pretty much pointless.

I don't think he was whining :|

No, I wasn't. What the hell?

Anyway, to clarify, I love the Wii technology. I think it's cool as !@#$% and that the system is fun to play. However, I think developers aren't as attracted to it because the system's power means that not only can graphics not be as good, but that there are limitations to the size of your game, its levels, etc. I think it would have been a great system had the technology been put to use with more powerful hardware.

I think it's a fun game with friends, but single-player blows really hard, unlike the other Mario Kart games.

What I would really like is for Square Enix to start making good games again. That'd be fun.

I don't really see here where Nintendo is calling graphics important. Aska seems to just be impressed that the Zelda team can pull really impressive graphics out of the weak Wii hardware, which actually is a noteworthy feat.

And yes, the Wii still sucks.
