I discovered a good sounding midi file in my computer...must have gotten it somewhere, but I can't remember where. Anyway, it sounds epic in Anvil Studio because each of the instruments is 'pure' or something. But when I save it and play it in Windows Media Player, some of the instruments can't be heard well enough. Anyone know why this is happening?

Anvil Studio uses (and I'm guessing here) Direct Music to play back midi files. How you hear it in AS is how it'll sound when played on every computer using Direct Music to play back midi. Game Maker, RPG Maker XP and VX, and other programs use Direct Music to play back midi.

Windows Media Player plays midi using samples from your sound card. Sound will vary when played back on WMP on other computers because soundcards come with different [quality] sound samples.

It's best not to adjust sound to your sound card (Windows Media Player) and to trust the sound coming from Anvil.

Of course, I could be wrong about everything posted above (I'm pretty sure I'm close, though)... :P

Multimedia Fusion 2 doesn't seem to use DM then. Any fix for it?

Sorry for double postage, but I really need to figure out where this song came from anyway. I put it on youtube if you'd rather not download it.

Whoa that sounds good. The volume of some of the parts are a little low though, and you can't hear the melody. For instance at :24 seconds in, I think I can hear a melody playing, but it may just be background notes.

Sounds like something you'd hear in an action platforming game like Mega Man.  XD Downloaded version sounds better because of YouTube. You made this in Anvil Studios?

Edited in studios and then used a converter to change it to mp3 and then used audacity to edit it again and turn it into a wav.
