although xMurrCattx is better, Shadow-of-a-hero's sprite fits in with the style alot more, so he gets me vote!

-
shadow-of-a-hero for me. the same thoughts as sirkildar.
-
Voted xMurrCattx.
I would prefer to see his sprite on a Zelda game rather than shadow-of-a-hero's sprite.
Congratulations, both are quite good. :)
-
They are both awesome.... I don´t know, xMurrCattx´s looks cleaner. I´ll vote on xMurrCattx

Go go Scorpio! :D
-
Well... I like Scorpia's idea better.
-
i do think that the captain knight is cool... but certainly I fit the style, do I not?
edit: upon further thinking, i think that my non outlined in black would most definitely be the style, the colors are from the NES palette, and even though there is about one two many colors for a single sprite, a boss like this would not be composed of a single sprite.
I think a thing that ...i recall.. Ricky made was really in style because not only was it in the NES artistic and tech specs of the NES, but it was also an enlarged and more powerful version of another monster character. the captain knight also goes for this same thing. I think they both have appeal in that sense. but I don't think too many sprites would have more than two images for common motion... correct me if I am wrong..lol. I think this is going to be a close one in any event.

It looks fine. Your sprite has a colored border, which usually only happens when something is glowing in the GB games, so I think it looks more NES.
-
please clarify what you are trying to say... are you saying that mine looks NES? In that case, I believe I did a fine job. the Captain Knight also does a fine job fitting the style, except in my opinion, it would maybe have less frames for the motion. other than that, I think the Captain Knight is a great sprite.
-
Yours also had too much detail for a GB sprite...
-
lol..well.. I don't know whether to be offended or flattered....lol. well I've been playing NES games all my life; I am fairly certain that detail to small seemingly insignificant things are the norm in those games. I recall many games having a two level shading for sprites and a color coordinated outline. Megaman is one of my favorites. but I do thank you... :D
I better get off of here and go do something else...I could post for days...lol can't wait to see the results
-
Sorry, I did sound like I was being rude... but it looks great if you tried to make it a NES sprite. Damn sundays...
-
Arctic when you declare the winner, please take into account that I voted for shadow of a her on accident.
-
oh by no means... i ...at least try to.. take it as good conversation... i just thought that was what i was shooting for.. i was actually going for Zelda style.. but.. it at least makes it to general NES style i hope
Wow! that is crazy.. taking into consideration a misplaced vote.. that would put us at a 15 15 tie! that is crazy. i suggest who ever had a misplaced vote send ArcticFerret a pm so that doesn't go unnoticed. especially for my sake! lol of course i did vote for my own, so if shadow of a hero has not done so yet.. then that would mean his vote would be the decision maker.
-
In a Close Combat, shadow-of-a-hero wins by 2 votes in this match.
-
well, I'm certainly glad the pressures off now. I was really hoping that the misplaced vote would be taken into consideration... that's ok, there will be other competitions.
-
Sorry about that...
-
lol...Bboy94... it's all good in the neighborhood! I'm glad I was motivated to even do the sprite. I don't have much motivation it seems sometimes. What would I do with Cash anyway? ::) XD lol anyway... I think for what it is, Ricky's is the one to pick.
