Custom-Made Shop Channel?

Do you see it possible for hackers to make a "shop" channel featuring their own content like plug-ins for the Internet Trial, perhaps even customizable skins for the Wii's Menu, or small games and stuff? (free, of course)

Wont be for a while when people get a good idea of how the wii hardware and firmware work... Right now I imagine it would be almost impossible...
