It's probably to be able to withstand against multiply, a new site out there that allows you to upload 150 images a month for free every month with no size restrictions (among other things). Similar to how hotmail started giving more e-mail space, attachments, and started livemail after gmail was created.

Now there's no reason to use Imageshack over this, unless you're feeling lazy about logging in or something. Heh, I'll never use that much bandwidth though. I looked at the options page, and my bandwidth counter is set to reset in 3 days (I joined on the 17th of some month), and I'm using 0.11% of my bandwidth. It's worth noting that you MUST go to the options page and manually set your new upload limit to 1 megabyte, otherwise you'll still be limited to 256k or so. It'll accomplish the same thing, with a much longer time limit, and it won't resize your video into the square that Photobucket's does. Logged

Well yeah, but they convert it to .flv format, so you might as well just use Youtube or something. It'll accomplish the same thing, with a much longer time limit, and it won't resize your video into the square that Photobucket's does.
