Hey guys! So I made a game for iPhone/iPod Touch. It's currently for sale in the App Store! I'll keep this updated so you know how the review process is going. Anyways, if you remember my ancient game Sky Sky Panic, this is basically that but sleek, stylish, polished, and for iPhones. Here's a promotional website:

Dunno if it's really a congrats situation, since anyone can submit as long as the game's made in a language compatible with the iPhone (objC, etc); would be best to save the congrats for when they accept it :P... It's also unnervingly difficult to get sales on the iTunes market from what I've heard................................................. It's all about your naming conventions for the game and such. So you have to name it things that people search for, or it'll never be found. Seems silly D:.
Anyway; looks pretty neat, although I'd probably make another video that shows a bit more detail of what's going on, because my thought throughout the entire vid was "why isn't the ship shooting D:"

I won't be buying the game though. First of all I don't even own a iPod Touch or iPhone and second I won't buy any of those devices either.

As for the congrats I was referring to the whole completion of a game which is an accomplishment in my opinion.

It typically takes two weeks between when you submit to apple and when it goes live. My last game I submitted only took five days ... but it was just an update, not a full fledged new title.

Well, I had submitted this before (then fixed it up, developer rejected, and resubmitted which is where it is now). The first time it only took a matter of hours to go from "Waiting for Review" to "In Review". This time its been more than a day of "Waiting for Review".
Whatever, I'm patient. :P

Congratulations and may your game be a success, but like I said I won't be buying it.

An update has been submitted to Apple for review. It changes a number of things:
-Replaced orange star with white
-Better interface
-More flexible difficulty levels
-Ten local high scores rather than one
-Attaching a name to your high scores
-Smaller filesize
-Faster load times
-NEW ICON (most important change of them all)
I'll be sure to let you know when this is approved and ready to go, but you should buy today so that you'll be ready for it when it gets here!

Congrats on completing a game and getting it on the apple store, looks like an ok, although by the gameplay video it doesn't look all that fast paced as described. You also seem to have a lot of the screen not used.

The longer you survive the faster the game becomes. Plus, in the upcoming update setting the difficulty to "Insanity" will start the game at a pretty good clip.

Here's hoping you get decent sales, keep in mind you will need at least 143 sales in order to break even.

JUNE UPDATE
Hey guys, what's going on? I just shipped the fourth free update for Shooting Star Panic. This one adds a lot of oft-requested features such as touch-based controls and online high scores. If any of you did happen to buy the game, I'd really recommend updating. If you haven't I would recommend purchasing it, but only because I'm a starving game developer who would love you forever if you did. The high score table can be viewed online at http://www.wanilla.net/ssp/
EDIT: And Windy, I'm not even close to breaking even yet. >.<
