I found this glitch when I was playing through the game last week. Basically, you do the Super Simian Slam (or Super Duper Simian Slam) before you get down the first slide and you'll still be doing Lanky's barrel move. It's easy to perform, doesn't help in anyway but it's fun to try. The video isn't the greatest or worst quality but it's something.

Thats interesting, but I would not recommended it since you can't get past the first jump :-[

You can get past the first jump. I'm just really bad at those jumps. It took me forever to get through the race because of my lack of jumping over the lava during the race against the bug in crystal caves at Donkey Kong 64 skill. The animation is just different but everything still works the same.

Huh, that's kind of cool. Good Job. Crystal Caves was my least favorite DK64 stage though.

I'm not sure thats ever going to happen. There's a part in the game where you play Jetpack on Kranky's computer, but Rare, and thus, Microsoft, owns the rights to Jetpack. Plus they have the arcade version of Donkey Kong in the game, which is superior to the NES version Nintendo has on VC, so nobody would buy the NES version.

I'm glad I actually found a glitch myself which is an accomplishment in a way.
