So I have noticed over the last little while that many of my projects have been removed from the database for some reason.  First my Smash Bros game, and then my Mario & Luigi game, and my Warcraft fan game, and also my LOZ Shattered Dimensions game, and even some tutorials that I uploaded.  Are they all just falling through the cracks as the site is being updated or does Star just hate all my projects   >:D

No really though...  Some of them are quite old, but some of them I still work on when I have the spare time so it would be nice if they were still here for me to update when I felt like it, or had reason to.  All my old topics are still here, but the download pages aren't...

Anybody else have this problem?

Edit:  So after looking into it further...  Every single one of my projects have been removed...  The only thing I could find with my name on it was an old Fog of War tutorial that never really worked because of a site bug that didn't actually let me upload the file correctly...  It must be a conspiracy.

I can't believe I didn't see this project until today...  This really looks cool!  TP is one of my favorite zelda games so the thought of getting more TP is very exciting indeed.   XD

All I know is GM so I can't really help on this, but I sure can applaud and encourage!  I like this a lot!  I hope it really goes far!

I was worried about this... I originally had him move twice the speed he moves at now, while slowing down to his current pace when he had the shield out, but having him move faster made him feel "unrealistic", if you understand what I mean? But then again, this is a game and not reality so maybe it would be better... Or perhaps even having "Pegasus Boots" obtainable early on which act as a hold this button to run, similar to the Pokemon game remakes?

Adjusting the speed of Links movement animation can help to make it look more natural when he walks, but I would say it is diffidently worth it in order to move at a more reasonable speed.  The Pegasus boots idea might work, but I am not sure that doing that would really add much to the game because everybody is going to want to always use them anyway, so it may as well just be built into the game to move faster.  Also since people already expect the Pegasus boots to work as an item by itself, because of every other Zelda game they have played, some people might be disappointed when it only makes them walk faster.

If you do the Pegasus boots I would suggest making the base speed faster and then making the Pegasus boots make you move even faster.  Since people like to be able to get around quickly when they need to move across the whole world map, it would be a cool item to have that is just a perk.  It could be a secret item found that is not necessary to beat the game, but something that people like to get anyway if they figure out how?  Anyway...  Nice working getting things fixed so quickly!   ;)

edit:  As a side note I thought I would mention that I like the MC/FSA graphics...  Sorry dl  XD

This actually sounds like a really cool idea!  Unfortunately I am not much of a spriter, but I do have some suggestions based on the video.  I really like the color, and immersive feel that those graphics can bring to the LOZ storyline.  Here are a few constructive bits of feedback.

-  Link moves really slow.  He should be moving like 2x faster or even more.  It is hard to play games when you don't feel like you are going anywhere.   :)

-  It seems strange to play the enemy hit sound effect when cutting down grass and bushes.  All it needs is the bush sound effect.  Also some of the sound effects seem too loud and overpowering (The enemy hit sound effect in particular).

-  When entering and leaving a cave it would make more sense to wait to change the music until you actually start in the next room the same way you do when switching between world maps.

-  This one is more of a personal preference, but I always like to be able to bounce rocks back at Octorks with my shield.  Makes me feel more involved in the game.  Obviously the original LOZ didn't do this though so it depends on how closely to the original you want to stick.

Overall I think the looks like a good start, and the things I mentioned are all pretty easy fixes.  Keep up the good work!   ;)

Also.  Welcome to ZFGC!

So by this standard, at some point we should be seeing a 360...  2, or maybe they will just call that one Zero.   :P

To be quite honest I was fascinated by the new motion sensing video about the new kinect.  I didn't know that kind of detection would be physically possible, but to be honest I don't know much about the first kinect so I don't know how much of an improvement it is...  And it can handle up to 6 people.

I must also agree that the voices for link were not so much annoying because of just being there, but rather that they really clashed with the style of game.  I actually get used to the voice in every other zelda game that has them, and would feel sad if they were taken out of say OoT, but in LTTP it was just poorly executed, and became annoying as a result.

Yeah.  Graphically it might not be a stand out from the crowd, but gameplay wise it definitely was in my opinion.  My only complaint is that the controls are not quite perfect.  You have the shake the remote to roll which to me was annoying, but it definitely was not a deal breaker in any way.  You get mostly used to it so it is okay i guess.

I would suggest waiting for the 3DS port though if you have a 3DS before buying it because from what I read it has extra content as well as better controls.  If you don't have a 3DS though then it is still definitely worth getting on the wii.

I found it enjoyable, but not as good as Ironman 1 as many of you have already stated.

One problem for me was the dramatically altered laws of physics.  I don't mean from actual physics, but from the physics of ironman 1.  In 1 those suits could take a serious beating and come back swinging, but in three they shattered like pieces of glass, and flailed about like scrap metal.  Not to mention that the show gave no indication that he had an army of suits at his disposal, and even if it did how were they undamaged when his house was blown off the side of the mountain?  I can handle fake physics in movies as long as it stays consistent, but there was nothing consistent about Ironman 3.  Still worth watching, but not as good as it should have been.

Okay.  So I am very often behind the curve when it comes to trying new games.  I just finished playing through Donkey Kong Country Returns and I was thoroughly impressed the whole game through.  Very unique and interesting levels, good humor, and very challenging!  All things I like in a game.  Finally a sequel to a game that is even better that the original (And the original was really good so that is saying something for me!)

All in all, I would defiantly recommend it to anybody who enjoys a good challenge in a platformer.  I really hope to see more of this quality in the future for Donkey Kong because this one was gold!

I saw that the title will be coming to the 3DS.  I am assuming that it is just a port, but even then it was good enough I would definitely consider getting it.  Hats off to Retro Studios on this one.

These are quite good.  I like the shield a lot!   ;)

Quite interesting indeed!  It is hard to believe that this kind of thing is possible to do now days.  Very cool!

This look very promising.  I really like the art style as well.  Great work! :D

It does looks great.. I like the graphics.. but.. I don't get they keep doing 3D games with top down view.. the 3rd person view gives an awesome feeling in Zelda.. at least in my opinion.. it feels much better

I must agree.  Though this looks really cool I wish they would just keep the camera at a 3 person view.  It would be cool if they gave an option to play either way though for those who prefer the top down approach.

Hey, congratulations on receiving the POTM for your great project here.  Keep up the good work! ;)

Hm...  Unfortunately winter has passed without any winter games...  Alas, life happens.  What are the chances of getting the standard summer comp going this year?
