Actually, merging was one of my original ideas, but I scrapped it. Anyways, it looks great, and post future renders in the now infamous "Post a Screenshot" thread. Despite its name, it's the same thing as this one.

I shall attempt to get things back on topic here.



This isn't a screenshot of the actual game play. It's actually a pretty rough mockup. And, no, it's not the "Mythic Realm" project mentioned in my sig. It's a much smaller project that has yet to be named.
I plan to make a topic about it as soon as I plan out things a little more.
I'm making it in GM8 with plans to release all code and sprites to everyone. I'm making this partly because I want to demonstrate how my platform-style Link would act in a game.
Also, you might have noticed that I used a lot of recolored Zelda II tiles and some Cave Story graphics. Those tiles will not be in the final product; all sprites will be of my own making.

I have to be honest; when I first saw the Link sprite sheet, I did not like it. But seeing it in this mock-up makes me actually like it. Way to go, Moderator FrozenFire!

Chimera isn't looking too bad, especially since I ProOptimized some parts to get the polycount down. I'm lazy. Sue me.

UV and texture will be a !@#$%.

Just playing around with getting Box2D integrated with Torque Game Builder.

Which I guess is a bit of pointless, since Torque 2D (its replacement) is going to have Box2D as its default physics engine, but it's fun, nonetheless. Completed integrated and working on the Windows build, and I'm working on the Mac build right now.

I've had a couple simple things come to mind, and I might work on them while I'm waiting for Srehpog to be on Messenger (and not Away) at the same time as I am so that we can discuss the OS X and XBOX ports of Waxy's Sushi Party, but I don't have any long-term plans for any games using Box2D right now - I have no design talent, only development.

I just wanted to show one of my small side projects:

It's going to be a Zelda Classic Tileset using MC colors and graphics, but working with 16 color Palettes. I also shrink 64x64 pixel objects to 48x48 ones. So they fit better with the screen size of ZC.


(Credits to Mr.Z and DarkflameWolf for the PTUX Mountains I recolored and edited a little bit
 Credit to Xfixium for some MC Tiles in the image ;))
