I got to say nice match to our potato friend and his wormy creator. The match happened just like I expected it would, judging by Potato's support 2 years ago. He could have won that first competition.

Alright, I read through the topic and am still confused.

Potato won the round.
But he was disqualified for being entered before.
Wasn't The Wanderer entered before?

Megaworm tried to enter Potato into the competition, but since he had been entered in the first competition, he was disqualified. However, the creators of the comp decided to have an "Intermezzo Match," a match that took place the day before the finals for amusement and to settle the ancient battle between Potato and The Wanderer. It wasn't actually part of the competition.
