OoT has 1 thing, and only 1 thing going for it, and thats nostalgia.

Along with that, I think it's IGNorant to make OoT the standard for comparison, as there have been many many games that are better and more memorable then OoT in the past 20 years.

GTA is the same damn game over and over... punks and jocks and thugs are mostly the ones that hype it up and buy it. You could put Driver 2 graphics on it and have no violence but slap the name GTA on there and people would still buy it just for it's name. SA never impressed me, hence the reason I waited until it was 10 bucks before I bought it. I loved Saint's Row way more than I ever did GTA.

BTW the game will wear away after a few days hopefully. People should get tired of running around like a !@#$% idiot using cheat codes for weapons and infinite health and using flamethrowers, rifles, dildoes, etc to kill people...

Oh, why is it that GTA games get blamed for violence again? /sarcasm

o.0 how was it ground breaking? It's basically mario 64 with an inventory system, no jump, and NPC interaction o.0... The only thing in it that even makes it close to ground breaking is the 3d, and that had been done in the past

it just rehashes old elements from older games and tries to pass them off as new with the 3dness...

Their only basis for comparison is the nostalgia :p OoT would not be so popular if it hadn't been for the exact time it was released. Even at that, if you remove the Zelda element and put any other character in there you want (Crash Bandicoot! or !@#$% Boogerman, I dont care) the game wouldn't have been half as popular. Its popularity is from an lttp fanboy croud that desired having their favorite character in 3d :s...

Dont get me wrong, I love OoT. But by no means is it groundbreaking.

Actually, I will give it this- The forest temple hallways that twist. That was groundbreaking

If GTA4 has those types of hallways, then the comparison is 100% justified

because those things rocked
