Book: 1984 by George Orwell
Game: Bioshock
Movie: The Dark Knight
Song: Pyramid Song by Radiohead
I highly recommend all of these to anyone. 1984 is the greatest book I've ever read, and has had a profound effect on the way I think. Bioshock is a fantastic game, although close seconds would be Metal Gear Solid 3 and the masterpiece that is Shadows of the Colossus. The Dark Knight is an excellent movie featuring the best performance this side of Daniel Plainview: Heath Ledger as the Joker. The themes were great and pertinent, helping to bring this movie above my other favorite: Sean of the Dead. Pyramid Song is a masterpiece, like many of Radiohead's songs. Time and again they've changed the way we look at music and have significantly influenced modern music. I would recommend all of their music, every single song (since their inaugural cd, Pablo Honey, that is).

Brave New World was alright, but really, the way the book ended was crap. Helmholtz Watson and Bernard Marx were let off easy and John killed himself. Weak. Ford's in his flivver, all's right with the world.
-
I actually thought the strongest parts of Brave New World were the first few chapters and the last few chapters.
-
yeah the ending was kinda WTF, but id still say it was easily the best english book we read in any english class period
-
The best parts of Brave New World were the personal struggles of Bernard Marx and how there were rumors that alcohol was poured into his blood surrogate and Helmholtz Watson who wrote the mind verse thingies. I laughed my ass off when Bernard found that one girl who escaped the utopia and was living with the savages - well, when he got the guy fired. The undertones in the book rather than the spectacle were great. Being different, having sex all the time, restriction of knowledge, wondering how the world got that way, etc. I'm probably going to go read it again now, lol.

Book: This question might as well read "Favourite Harry Potter Book" for me, since that's about all I've read. Order of the Phoenix, probably.
Game: No idea. My current favourite seems to be The World Ends With You, but I'm going to go with Super Mario World.
Movie: Serenity -OR- 2001: A Space Odyssey. 2001 is the best movie I've ever seen, but I <3 Serenity.
Song: Either "Paranoid Android" or "How To Disappear Completely". Both by Radiohead.
-
Raccoon, all you've ever read is Harry Potter? D: There's an enormous world of awesome literature that you're totally missing out on.
-
Like Howl's Moving Castle(my second favourite book). And you obviously don't mind reading books for little kids, so I'll recommend the Redwall series as well.

Oh, I know. I've read more than Harry Potter, but only because of school.
I have recently realised how much I'm missing out on though, and I do have a huge list of books I plan on reading soon. I'll probably start next year, once I've finished school.

I Will from Hail to the Thief. A great, chilling song.
