I never really liked the games from Valve. I think Half Life actually sucks. I also notive that for a great deal of people real games are games that you blow stuff up, have a lot of blood and gore and have photo-realistic graphics. The rest are just gimmicks, which I think is pretty much retarded way of considering games.
But it is gimmicky game play, doesn't mean it's bad or anything.

I'm actually looking forward to Portal 2 as much as or more than Ep3. I hate it when people say "There's no need for a sequel" about any great game, because more often than not the sequel is an excellent product with a great continuation of the story and great building off of the original game's mechanics, and I'm especially expecting such from Valve, who consistently make quality games.
Why are you looking forward to a game that will be pretty much more of the same just with another story craply tacked on?

And there is no need for a sequel, at all. Give me one good reason why there should be a Portal 2 and no Half-Life 2 Episode 3. And if your excuse is "because it's great" then don't bother.

EDIT: Not to mention that Valve has different teams to work on their different games. Left 4 Dead 2 and Portal 2 did absolutely nothing to Episode 3.

Well apparantly it did...
Episode 1 was released in 2006
Episode 2 was released in 2007
We're in 2010 and still not even an announcement as far as episode 3 is concerned. So Valve may have different teams, but they are completely incompetent in using them...

I was really hoping for Episode 3.  Damn you, Valve!  Oh well.  This is good too, just not as good.

Not really, The first one was good as a gimmick, gameplay was fun and all that but it wasn't to be taken serious. Theres no need for a sequel.

I'm gonna claim it, We'll hear about TF3 and L4D3 before we hear anything at all about Ep3.

As much as I like Valves games, I hate the company >_>

Left 4 Dead 3 at E3 guys. We all know it'll happen, It'll have been nearly a year by then!
Seriously, Valve are starting to !@#$% me off with all this now, when the hell are they actually going to start working on Ep3? We don't need a sequel to a gimmicky game...

Well; it is the truth :P There's seriously nothing for that system that interests me with the exception of a couple games that are no longer in production/sold in stores. Little disappointing.

When I picked up my Wii it was pretty much "Blaster Master Overdrive!" and "Metroid Prime Trilogy!" and "Twilight Princess!!"........ Well; beat one of those, MPT is no longer in production, and TP is everywhere, but I don't feel like paying original freakin' retail price price for a launch title.

It's why I sold my Wii as fast as possible. It's just terrible :/ I can't even list a game I like about it. I used to like the Metroid Prime games but I've grown out of them after I realised it's just a case of continous monotonous back tracking. And the new one looks terrible. Shall stick to PS3 and PC (and 360 just for Fable 2 because they aren't going to release it for PC the !@#$%).

Actually, for me this has not been a good year at all yet.

^This

BM:O was cool but I beat it in 4 hours D:... I guess I'm going to have to get MM10 tonight and see how good that is. Otherwise, there's literally nothing I find of interest right now :s I spent like an hour in gamestop trying to find a game for the Wii that I would actually enjoy, and I found nuffink D:

There's your problem ;)
OLO TROLL *hides*

I mean I've only just gotten into Yakuza so Yakuza 3 is top of my list. Then we got Battlefield Bad Company 2 (So much better then MW2) Heavy Rain was released this year (though personally I'm not a fan). We got a new Ghost Recon on the horizon *please don't be !@#$% please*

And now this has been announced http://kotaku.com/5484611/test-drive-unlimited-returns

!@#$% awesome :D

What other games are you lot excited for?

So yeah, my random browsing of the tactical gamers forum threw this in my face
(http://www.jcove-lite.co.uk/)

now then as many of you may know I basically bum off the ArmA series (And original Flashpoint game) and this is a free version of VBS2 :D.
For those that don't know VBS2 is a military training simulator derived from the ArmA series, and even though it's not a game per say, it can still be bucket loads of fun. It comes with a Mission Editor and every piece of British Army kit you can think of (minus the Eurofighter for some reason).

But yeah it's Free, so you should take a look at it ;) the mission editor is unbelievably flexible, any operation you can think of you could do.

On topic, call me lame, but I'd like to see the original Battlefield 1942 have a complete graphical revision. Maybe some better collision checking as well. That would be nice.

 :o ?!?!!?!?

How did I not know about that?!?!
I'm just sad that it's strictly an online game. No LAN.

:P was released last year on the hype up for BC2. Played the demo of it an it's pretty damn good :)

I'd like to see, but the website won't load any videos for me :(
Though if it's Ken Block, I've probably seen it before :P

Best thing about living in a shithole like Telford is that on Sundays they do drifting on my local industrial park ;)
