Nope, doesn't look anything like a wii mote.  Not at all.

Well, that Sony and Microsoft would follow suit with a motion controller was to be expected. But this is really a direct copy of the wiimote. Even the GDC2010 trailer features the same demo games as the wii.

Wait wait wait- This was announced a long while ago when Natal was announced :P

It looks exactly the same as when they first announced it too :( I was hoping for a revision.

yeahh I'm about as likely to buy this as I am a Wii (very unlikely). Unless it's cheap, then I'd probably just buy it for novelty, though I hear Socom 4 will be using this controller...so maybe I'll have no choice in the matter D:

Though I hate all the "OMG IT LOOKS LIKE DA WII CONTROLLER" !@#$%, because you know, every controller ever has looked like one another with only minor differences...

It bugs me that the "sub-controller" isn't wired to the other one. I mean, it makes sense from a gameplay perspective, until kids and dogs start moving it away from the main controller and you wish it were attached after all.

On the plus side, you could stick it in your butt.
Which means you actually wouldn't lose it, I guess.

That's pretty tacky looking. I'm really not going to be buying any next gen consoles if they're all motion sensing. What a joke this industry's become.

^I agree with this, except I leave you with one phrase-

"MOON."

"CRYSTAL."

"POWER!"

That's why I would buy this.

They're going to have a tough time selling me on this one. Fortunately, they claim that they're not going to be shifting any amount of focus from regular ol' games that you play with a regular ol' controller, and they better not be.

I don't really expect a motion-sensing controller for the PC to catch on.  But it's frightening to know that some people think it's a good idea.  This gimmick needs to die, soon-like.
