Maybe you guys like it but the new layout is retarded as !@#$%.
It was an unnecessary change and looks to me anyway that they are trying to pull of OSX/iTunes theme.

And what do you know, already found an error on the site:
Watching a video, I wanted to see what was recommended with the top-right drop-box menu.
I click the down arrows and guess what happens:

New theme ain't that bad. only bad part is the comments section which looks pretty shitty and is barely understandable.

There's a lot less clutter and it's a lot better for picking videos after the one you've just watched has finished (can either properly browse through the user's videos as opposed to only seeing a selection, or a much better recommendations list)

Also it load's a heck of a lot faster.

I only get half the videos my subs release... The comment section is a cluster !@#$%... the video description which has a problem with being ignored is now a 24 pixel tall box UNDER the video that only displays the first 10-12 words of it... You can either like or hate videos...

the change was announced months ago :P it's been slowly leading up to the change. It is a legit change. Youtubes april fools is anci videos.

Elaborate yes, but this isn't their prank. This is their actual layout change. Like I said, this has been going on for months prior to today there's been a beta for this, and some people had this new updated layout weeks before today. This is not the april fools joke.

Yeah, the comment section is pretty unmanageable. It's almost as if they were trying to keep us from reading it, as if there were some people, some unsavoury characters perhaps, or even flat-out idiots, morons even, posting messages on it that they were trying to prevent us from being exposed to, save us from the stupidity if you will...

It doesn't bug me that much though the video pages look a lot cleaner now which is for the better I suppose. I kind of like the option of the Like/Dislike. It would kind of help to find videos that are worth it and some that aren't. I'm not satisfied with the way to add videos to your favorites, I liked my "Favorite" link better but now we gotta open the "Save to" box.

olo so apparently google changed its name too take a look ololol its called something different so it must be srsly even tho its april fools but it looks legit.

Seriously <_< counter point being that they beta tested it is stupid, because, uh. "Obviously they would beta test something that reworks their entire system, even if for one day".
