[Completed] The Legend of Zelda: Tales of Hyrule
« on: June 11, 2007, 08:36:22 pm »
TLoZ: ToH is an online Zelda-themed RPG. Create your own character and embark on a journey in the Zelda universe.
Although this 'universe' is completely fan fiction, it looks and feels like a real Zelda game. (Kinda. We do what we can. :P)
The game is full of dungeons, quests, and puzzles.  We're also adding somecool new features like lumberjacking and fishing. :)
We're constantly updating it with new areas, graphics, and code to make the ultimate online TLoZ experience.

There are screenshots on the site.
So go ahead, download it, give it a try!

here is an important lesson, listen to the target audience of your game they are always right about control aspects. Also one way to remedy complaints about controls is to make the controls customizable.

Not really. Especially when they haven't even played the game yet.
It's impossible to picking up an item and attacking at the exact same time.

That means that it couldn't save the update file, for whatever reason. It's a problem on your end.
Make sure that the /Flashs/ folder exists in your game folder, and that your Windows user has the correct permissions to read and write from that folder.

Impossible. I've throughly tested the updater and it works on every single machine I've tested it on. Definitely isn't my end as it would spit out a "Failed to download file(s)" error instead.

I'd strongly advise against bypassing the updater, it's a ban-able offense.
And yeah, I'll just go and reprogram the whole game, BRB.

The point is that I can release an update that changes the mechanics of the game through the updater. If people don't update for that, they could either have an advantage or disadvantage over other players.
