Spent the afternoon slapping together a Flappy Bird clone using those sky sprites, the effect works really well dude. Nicely done.

Dude... Oh my lord. You have no idea how awesome this is. I wanted my game's story (set in BotW) to finish with Link and Zelda unearthing the Mirror in the Gerudo Desert. And now you've gone and done it and Jesus wept it's cool. You're such a spriting boss!

That looks awesome! You could have a climbing mechanic and all sorts in that! I'll tell you what else, if you could rotate it you could even get some Captain Toad Treasure Tracker type thing going on there. Very promising!

I'm afraid what you're looking for is quite impossible, there are no easy to use game making programs if you haven't put in the time and effort it requires for them to become easy. Tutorials, tutorials, tutorials!

As for my project, here's a very brief gif of Link opening a chest and finding a Korok in a test area;

I started making a Minish Cap styled BotW fangame by using Youtube videos to learn to use GMS1, but then after a couple of months I decided to switch over to GMS2. Bought it, and then got a £10 course off Udemy on making a Zelda styled 2D ARPG.

There's mountains of tutorials out there, free or otherwise on how to code in those programs, but others exists too. Best thing to do would be to hop on YouTube and watch other people do it. Takes a lot of time and effort but I went from totally clueless to building my own cutscenes and implementing dialogue systems and all sorts so it's certainly doable :) Best of luck!

Couple of heavily in progress areas to show.

First is an approximation of Hyrule Castle Town. This is just the blank ground and walls. Initially I had a few buildings in there, but quickly realised if you don't create those sorts of things as objects, collisions and things can't happen. Learning as you go is ever so fun :P I also intend to make another version of this where some of the walls are crumbled and there's a lot less grass. My intent with the game is to set it immediately after BotW. By leaving Castle Town, which will essentially function as the main hub for everything, you can go and quest and do dungeons and stuff, and as the story progresses the town begins to be rebuilt around you. Fun fact; I checked this, and it's approximately a third the size of the entire Minish Cap map. I might have gone slightly overboard, so definitely going to need to throw in a horse at some point!

And then Tarrey Town. This is kind of a mock up in progress. Once I'm ready to build it I'll have to do what I did for Castle Town and strip everything out and put it back in as objects, but I wanted a little practise actually organising where things will be going. Custom stuff like the central fountain and finishing the houses is going to be rather difficult for me, but hey ho. Let me know what you think!

I wonder if this would interest you, but you know the house sprites for the port town in Shadow Gazer? I've attached them below. The main plot thread for my game will be to rebuild Castle Town, and these are the houses I wanted to use. Coincidently they're almost identical to the buildings in BotW, pre-Calamity. My Castle Town map is spaced out to allow for the buildings to fit wherever they need to, but I need to have ruined versions for the start of the game before anything is rebuilt. I dunno how possible it would be to edit these but wherever I've seen your buildings they always seem to come out rather perfectly. If you fancied helping a brother out, I'd be eternally grateful. Once they're done I should even be able to get a playable demo together relatively shortly, the basic running, attacking, dialogue, enemies and things are done. I dunno how much work this would entail or if it's even something you'd care to do, but if you're interested, let me know :)

Dude, these shrines are amazing! Might need to use them :P I'm currently in the early stages of attempting to build a post-BotW MC style game at the minute, I'll try to post some video or something a bit later on when I'm home from work.

I edited my post above referencing your request for advice with perspective. Hope it's useful!

Second set for sure. They look more like the common BotW Gorons. Having said that, they do vary in colour more in this game, I'm sure I remember seeing some dark brown ones too.

A sheet for these would be cool though, would love to animate them :)

**Edit;

So from what I've seen of various bits of advice from around the internet, MC style sprites tend to look down at an angle, maybe something like 45 degrees or so, from above. What that should translate to when drawing is short legs, and a reasonable amount of the tops of the subject's head. For example, when I was fiddling around making that Kass sprite the other day, I used the legs off of your one, but I took well over 50% of the height off of them. Makes it look like they're being viewed from above, as the full view of the leg is being obscured by the fact that there is more upper leg in the way of the lower leg.

I applied those same general guidelines to your Goron sprite; it's by no means perfect, but kind of shows what I'm getting at.

Note the face being lowered, and the changes to the legs (to the point where you can no longer see them. Gorons are enormous, but with teeny tiny legs. Realistically, you shouldn't really be able to see them at all, but they look strange without at least some feet poking out). There's also some mild changes to shading that help convey angle.

I edited the head of Kass a bit  :)

EDIT: I also made the side view head
EDIT 2: I also edited my Revali to be the same size as your Kass

Duuuuuuuuuuuude, Kass looks so much better now! Nice one!

I present the following;

Link, attacking in an upwards direction

I've seen a couple of Kasses floating about, wanted to have a stab at it though. No animation for this one (yet) but I've heavily edited and amalgamated both Dreadlock Detective's Teba and SpritingBrad's Kass to form this one here;

Still some work to do but it's 1:45am where I am so bed for now, I think x_x

If you're trying to fix Link's side animations, it looks like he's walking backwards now. I'm not a great animator, but perhaps there are too many frames where his foot is moving forward, making it seem slower. The downward walking animations seem like his foot goes forward quicker, and that seems like he's going in the proper direction. Just a guess.

Anyway, good for you for animating things, makes them much more useful for games : ) welcome.

You might well be right there, when I insert him into the game he looks like he's moonwalking forward :P I'll try to fix it. I've also noticed the original animations have his head bobbing up and down, so I'll try to incorporate that too.

I've got the sideways animation on another computer and I'm still working on the up, but here's the downwards facing attack animation;

I'm new here, but after lurking for a bit and seeing some of the fantastic artwork, I thought it would be a good idea to catalogue some of my edits and animations and things and get some feedback and pointers. There's some stuff that needs some work (most notably Link's sideways animations, I've donked that up somehow >.<) but I'm relatively new to this so advice is appreciated! I've got what follows and will be adding more shortly.
