Coding / CySprite - for your sprite positioning, and hitbox needs!
« on: May 12, 2013, 06:33:07 pm »
I don't know about you guys, but I really have a hard time writting code to position sprites, when they're different sizes, so it doesn't "jiggle", but now that I've developed CySprite, and created a very streamlined way to load it into a game, I no longer have to have those worries, and I got the bouns of being able to put a infinate amount of hitboxes anywhere on a frame.

If you'd like to see what I'm talking about check ouot this youtube video:

Now my sprite looks really bad, but I'm no artist. I'm a coder, so please ignore the sprite and look at it's placement, lack of "jiggle" and hitboxes.

Right now CySprite only works in Little Endian, but I plan on adding a switch so that it can use both Big Endian and Little Endian.
Also, the loading code is only written in Java, but I'll post up the format if there's enough interest.

Here's are some screenshots of the currently WIP CySprite:

So please let me know if you guys are interested in this. It might be able to help out Zelda games (Probably games more like Zelda 2).
By the way, I'm kinda new here. Great Place :D
