Post by: AoDC on June 11, 2008, 08:27:54 am: I'm wondering if any people would assist me in finding some music. Not really songs, but artists.

I like trance, rock, jpop, death metal, anime/vg compositions... basically everything really... Haha... ha... wtf.

Some artists I love:

Armin Van Buuren
In Flames
Queens of the stone age
Disturbed
Lost Prophets
Chevelle

These are the bands I basically listen to all the time.

Um, maybe Keane? Or Dashboard Confessionals? As far as anime goes, the Trinity Blood, Cowboy Bebop, and Trigun soundtracks are all really good, especially the Cowboy Bebop one.

Slipknot (I only like 1 song of them XD)

In my opinion, metallica sucks. They look/think like they are making heavy music, but in fact they are making soft-rock/metal-balad ::) Even the old songs of them are not heavy. Megadeth and Slayer owns them.

I suggest Weezer if you like lighter, poppier stuff that can sometimes have a really raw and slightly heavier sound. Their songs are pretty simple but not annoyingly so, and have lots of recognizable and catchy riffs. In a similar but distinct realm, I suggest Angels and Airwaves. Most of their songs aren't too memorable and are actually pretty lame, but they have a few that are absolutely INCREDIBLE: namely "The Adventure," "Everything's Magic," "War," and "Secret Crowds."

Also, your library seems to have a disturbing lack of the motherfucking Beatles. Get on that, and while you're at it, add other classic bands like Queen to it.

Since you seem to like heavier things, I also suggest you dabble in some power metal like Blind Guardian. They're like Dragonforce but much less cheesy, more dramatic, and lacking their insane speed (which actually ends up being beneficial to their sound.)

:( they do good pirate music and if it was them who did it; they did a song called '!@#$% you I'm drunk'.

A song called '!@#$% you I'm drunk'.

They are THE best band ever for that.

Also try Dr. John - "Right Place Wrong Time".
