Entertainment / Rosalina Theory [Spoilers]

If you have played Super Mario Galaxy, then you no doubt know about Rosalina and her resemblance to Princess Peach.
My theory is that they are related as family.

If you have read the storybook in Rosalina's library, then you would know that her Mother looks a lot like Peach too. She has those distiguised curls, and that orangish hair. So those genes were passed down through to Rosalina and of course Rosalina's brother.
Since we know that Rosalina has no family (Husband+Kids), then we know that she is not Peach's great(x8) grandmother. So the only thing that would keep the family tree going, would be Rosalina's brother.
And so the genes were passed on through the generations and on to Peach.
Rosalina is Peach's great(x8) aunt.
Rosalina's Brother is Peach's great(x8) grandfather.
Rosalina's Mother is Peach's great(x9) grandmother.

That is my theroy. :)

I made a logo for my game(Super Mario Rosette) and I want to know what everyone thinks about it, and how I should improve on it, if there is anyway I can.

I was wondering, like the title says, how I would be able to make the sprite thats following a path, change its angle depending on its location. Such as when the character is following a path, the angle of its image always stays with the way the path is facing.
does anyone understand what I'm saying

if someone needs a visual to better understand, I 'll quickly make one, only when necessary :)

Coding / [Help - GM7] Closer the object, louder the sound

So I am wondering if there is any way to make sounds get louder as an object comes closer to that object eminating that sound. And if you get farther away the sound gets softer until you almost don't hear it anymore...
Does anyone understand what I am talking about?

ALPHA.STORY:
(Story):
Every 10 years the Mushroom Kingdom holds what is called a "Soul Gala", of which all the souls of that decade may enter through to the next realm. This portal only opens at around that time.
The time of this celebration is when the souls that have passed on is to be remembered.
Long ago, when the current princess of the kingdom was just a little girl, something went terribly wrong. The gate to the other realm would not open!
No one knew why!
The princess thought to herself of what could happen if the gates did not open. This saddened her. And at that instant, her eyes began to sparkle, and the princess' soul took the form of a Peach-colored star and shot towards the sky.
In a blinding light the gates to the realm opened once again. Everyone was once again joyous, and the princess' sadness was pleased because she was happy that she helped the souls.
That Peach-colored soul remains with the safe keeping of the person who protects the other realm.


(Plot):
You start a summit, where the portal to the soul realm is said to open. Peach has given you a letter and you must go look for her; she has something important to tell Mario!
But then, just before she could say anything, Bowser comes and snatches her once again! What is his "master plan"...? AFTER HIM!

INFORMATION:
-The realm is called the "Rosette Galleria"
-You meet a man named Mewgull, who tells you that the "evil one" sent all of the souls residing there into hiding in different worlds! They are the power source to the Rosette Galleria! But there's something more to his story...
-The things you must collect are the fragments of Peach's Soul that was the main power source to the Rosette Galleria, but it broke up into 5 pieces and scattered throughout the five worlds connected to there.
-You must find the hiding souls so you have enough power to go to the different worlds/levels and get Peach's soul.

I put the "ind" as self, because its for the current object that the code is in.
I put 1 in as the solid, because  I want it to be solid, and I put objFloor as it's parent.
But nothing's working!!
What wrong

So I was playing wind waker, and I went to Outset island to do Orca's sword challenge to get a heart piece.
I was playing and I definatly passed 500, but I was like why not further?
I played untill I hit 999! and after the 1000 strike he said enough
and the first thing he says is Master
next thing he says is that his hands are numb
ALSO he says.
"Master, is you're left index finger not numb?"
I thought that was kind of cool, because it's kind of breaking the 4th wall, and talking to the player :)

Alright, so I have this file that I put into a WinRar file, with a password for security reasons, and now, unfortunatly, I have forgotten it. So my question is how can I heck the file to look at the password, like with a hex editor, etc.
(Already tried Hex Workshop.)

example:
I want to make a textbox script read a script with the actual text that is to be written in the textbox.

Entertainment / Another way to look at the Legend of Zelda games.

Well, I feel as though a lot of people are stressing over the official timline for the Legend of Zelda, when really we fail to actually see what each game is.
The dictionary states that Legend means "A collection of stories handed down over generations"
So therefore each Zelda game is part of the same legend, just told (played) a different way, and the characters stay the same.
So instead of a Timeline, think of the Zelda games as what the title says it is.  Legends!

I am looking for a few sound effects, they are:

1. Mario shooting a fire ball
2. Balloon Poping
3. SMRPG characters "auras" (LMFAO, I forgot I recorded the sound myself XD)
4. Some voices for Mallow and Geno (if possible)

I'll probably update the list a few times, and add more requests so I don't have to keep asking by posting a new thread every time.

Like the titles states I am looking for the type of platform shooter where an arm of the player follows the mouse and switches angles, and of course also shoots from that angle.

Coding / [Request]Make a certain object follow a path~!?

I'm none too good with ids in Game maker.
So my question is:
How can I make a certain object in a room with the multiple same objects(namely 4), and only that one follows a path, when its created by another object.
Example:
In a room, there is a switch, and 4 items, all the same. When the player hits that switch, another 5th item is created(the same as the others), but this one follows a path, and the others do not.
Understand?
If you do, I would be extremely happy.
