.heck//roots (even though i havent seen it all yet, mainly because its not all been aired yet so this is unfair)

and... I'm not sure what order these would go in but the make up the rest of my list

Full Metal Alchemist
Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex
Naruto

and that makes up pretty much all the Anime i've seen... Aside from the really crappy stuff like Digimon, Pokemon, Yugi-oh!, e.t.c.  I wasn't particularly impressed by Cowboy Bebop, or whatever Gundam show I used to watch but they're not bad.

Augh, I've gotten the theme song to .heck//SIGN stuck in my head... I blame you <_<

I am a Fullmetal Alchemist fanatic and I am sorry, but I can't stand when people don't listen to me!
Please oh please stop putting a space between Full and Metal it might make sense, but that is not how you do it so please just listen to me I have all the books that are in America and I have to get any FMA thing I see and I even have a funny Edward Elric pillow on my ebay list. So don't mock me because I'm crazy, just remember that I am FMA fanatic.

.heck roots was aired in japan on tokyo tv from the start of april or near there, so far theres been 4 ep's out, the 5th will be airing tomorrow. but i have no idea when it's going to be aired anywhere else, so the only possibility at the moment is to get fansubs of it

yes, fullmetal alcehmist is incredable. the story and all its amazing ideas are the best i've every seen anywhere and they really make you think. i love it :D

I never really watched much anime

except DragonBall (Z) Which I just got into again (It's more awesome in Japanese)
and I liked Pokemon when I was younger, But I want to go back and watch some the 1st season( I heard the new voice actors are horrible)

If I didnt have a younger bro(since most anime has "adult" jokes and violence) I'd try some other ones  :(

i dunno what you think anime is, but im guessing its the crap kids stuff on cartoon network.
thats not we're on about, as we actually manage to see more adult anime (and yes they are because they have age ratings like 15, 18 etc) then what you've managed to glance at

I'm not insulting anything. That's how it is. The cultures between Japan and the US are different, though. But it is originally designed for children.

then why make the stament you did?
i dunno about originally, but im sure animes with age ratings of 15, 18 etc arent intended for children
but you're right about the difference's between the US and Japan. usually when an anime's shown in the US its dumbed down so children can watch it :(
luckily i dont live there :), but its the same in the UK though too :(

well nice job at being confusing and asking for it :P
but just because what happens in anime may be the norm in japan, who says anyone else except children cant watch it?
and i hope the person that wrote that knows what they're one about, as his list:
Sailormoon, Pokemon, Gundam, Card Captor Sakura, Kamikaze Kaitou Jeanne, Marmalade Boy, Fushigi Yuugi, GTO, Detective Conan, One Piece, Hime-chan???s Ribbon, Chou Kuse ni Narisou, Yuu Yuu Hakushou, You???re Under Arrest???. ALL of these shows were intended for children (elementary school through early junior high at the LATEST).
are what i'd call anime aimed at children too :S

edit: and then, do children stay up till the early hours of the morning normally too? as i dunno about most anime, but i know that .heck//roots is currently being aired at about 1 or 2 am

edit2: "-Another example is the time slots anime have. Almost all anime by Ribbon (Marmalade Boy, Hime-chan???s Ribbon, GALS!???) is aired in the morning; a sure sign that children are supposed to watch it. Other anime is aired in prime time (like GTO, Kamikaze Kaitou Jeanne, One Piece???) but never later than 8:00."
well that doesnt go with what i just said in edit1, so it seems to me like they're just talking about "childrens" anime, like i said before my 1st edit. but i'll keep reading :P

Where did I say anyone else can't watch it? I said it was intended for children. Nearly all the shows that I do watch are intended for children.

nowhere, i wasnt specifically talking about what you said, just in general
edit: ok, well from that site, if they are correct in what they say, the sort of anime i'd class as "for children" is the sort of anime they talk about and also the sort of anime that is shown on cartoon network, but nowhere on that list did i see anything to do with the sort of anime i've seen
