OK, I've got a problem with one of my PCs.  I'm trying to network 2 Win2K PC together, but the problem is that one of them gets an error everytime I try to open "Computers Near Me" in "My Network Places", I get an error message after it sits for like 25 seconds.

The error reads as follows:

Workgroup is not accessable.

The list of servers for this workgroup is not currently available

Now I have NO idea why this is happening.  The firewall is turned off, I can browse the internet still, I can start a LAN Game of Quake 2 and CounterStrike betwee the 2 PC, but I can't network them together!  Now the other PC (my laptop) can open "Computers Near Me" just fine, so that's not the problem.  What's going on here?!

THIS IS DUE TOMARROW

OK, I've done these kind of stories before in English, and won every single one for our voting-for-favorite contest and gotten extra credit.  But this time, I wasn't feeling as insane when writing it.  So I'm asking for your guys' help to make it the utmost insane thing ever!  But it's actually written by 3 people including me, so we can only edit my parts, which are underlined and bolded.

Kaz Harai was planning out his uber crappy PS3 E3 conference.  With Solid Snake as his bodygaurd, NOTHING could stop him!  The power of the Regginator was the only thing that could stop him.  But there was a ninja in Japanw just waiting... and suddenly, with his MIND BULLETS!!!!, shot them off into every direction!  Missle-like-objects colliding and passing eachother, even taking down the Makingbird!  Cosby was tard'n out all over the place srceeming over and over "They don't know what the jazz is all about!  It's the pokey and the mon!"

Kaz Harai then proceeded to kill giant enemy crabs and play RIIIIIIIIDDDDDDGGGGEEEEEEEEE  RAAAAAAACCCCCEEEERRRRRRRR!!!!!!!  He was playing when Reggie came up to him.  Reggie was a sworn enemy, he had to be desroyed.  Kaz called upon the power of Chuck Norris, who round house kicked Reggie in the face, killing him instantly.  Kaz then met Brian Peppers.  Prian proceeded in his wheelchair.

They all began to play there PS3's together.  It was all going good since their main enemy was dead since he was kicked in the throat by Chuck Norris.  After a while they met up with a new enemy.  His name was Mihalik, Mr. Mihalik!  Mihalik was a large yellow furby looking creature.  He was one of the strongest enemies in their PS3 game.  Nobody has ever defeated and destroyed him before.  They wanted to take the challenge upon themselves.  They knew they could kill him.  The problem was just figuring out how!

The answer was ofcourse to use the UMD Launcher A.K.A. PSP to kill the PS3, scream WIIIIIIIIIIII!!!!!!!!! and instantly, Shiggy will come in when the war of A.D. 2101 is beginning.  It was an IMENSE war, of many Xbox hammers, Wii-mote numchucks, and PS3 summoners.  Using the power of the 599 U.S. dollars, 599, 599, 599 U.S. dollars, the evil oni known as Sony called upon with its spleen, Captain Planet!  Having not realized he has turn to THE DARK SIDE, the Power Rangers came in with THE BAN HAMMER and liquified-eradification-spontaneously-exploding-photon-energy eye beam goggles.  With the power of John pope the 2nd in their hands, the Power Rangers succesfully divided by zero resulting everything turning inside out and speratically imploding, making buddy christ come back and killing Caboose and all his n00bishness.

Now the last part you can also make longer if you want, but try to not make it TOO big, cause I was supposed to write each part in 10 minutes, but the end you can make a little longer.

So guys, let's get started with some INSANITY!!!! (oh crap, I have no Leeroy! O_O)

This an online program that allows you to call people using the internet with no long distance charge.  You type a message in and hit the "GA" button and your message will be read by a randomly selected talker.  You can first test it out by calling yourself.  Have fun and avoid any giant enemy crabs.

But unfortunetly, if you don't live in the US, you'll end up with a crab or two. :/

Other Discussion / I heard you could turn system RAM into video RAM, is this true?

Because if it is, this could really help me out.  I'm VERY tight on video RAM on this laptop (4 MB >_>) and have 128 MB of system RAM, but will be getting another 32MB from my friend's old-ish laptop.

I heard it was changeble though the BIOS, but my BIOS has that stuff locked out.   Am I screwed over again?

EDIT: BTW, the laptop is an HP Pavilion N5250.

I was wondering if there's some way of taking an AGP or PCI port out of a PC and hooking it up to a laptop via internally or externally so that I could use a decent video card.  Sounds crazy doesn't it?

What it is, is that I'm going to go to NYC in like 3 weeks, and we won't be able to take our van with the TV, so I can't play N64 or GCN and stuff.   So I was thinking about taking my laptop with me and playing some PC games instead.  But because my laptop doesn't have a working screen, I was going to use the LCD screen off of my friend's old laptop (it's like 10 years old >_>).  It'd probably be a low resolution screen (like 640x480 ) but it's better than nothing.  The problem is that my laptop's integrated 4MB of video RAM is NOWHERE near enough to really play anything.  And since I can't really spend any money except for maybe around $10-$15, I need to use one of my PC video cards some how.

And BTW, when I go to NYC, I'll be going to the Nintendo World store sometime, so if I can get my friend's screen to work, I'll update you local NYC-ers in NYC when I'll be there so maybe you can meet up with me!

wow... that took my breath away!  But one thing that was interesting was the "DS more expensive than GCN" comment.  It is true, but one's new and the other isn't.   He probably just overlooked that small detail.

Just by the luck of the draw, I found a link to the video for download on rapidshare when a YTMND based off of it was in the "Last 5 created".  Apparently the YTMND no longer exists, so I REALLY got lucky!

So I uploaded it to Google Video this time, because unlike YouTube, they allow you to upload videos that aren't your own.

I've even included download links on the information sidebar so that there's NO WAY we can lose this video again.
