Ever since I downloaded Firefox 3 I've been playing with its much faster SVG rendering (compared to Firefox 2) along with the zoom function. Now before SVGs took several seconds to load and made things considerably slow. Firefox 3 changed all that and they were suddenly usable in real-time!
Well today, I was looking for some anime-styled things that happened to be in SVG format. I really couldn't find anything, until I eventually stumbled upon an SVG image on the Wikipedia page for Anime (go figure, I was just there last week and didn't even realize the image was there)
Now, I was amazed at the quality of the image for being an svg. That high quality comes with a price though...

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Mahuri.svgNeedless to say, that thing MURDERED my CPU more than Crysis ever would. I even had the brilliant idea to zoom in 200%. That in itself took like 20 seconds to re-render, but then I attemped to scroll down. HO BOY, that took pretty much an entire minute to complete the action!
My CPU: AMD Athlon XP 2100+ OC'd to 1.95 GHz
Anyone out there daring enough to put their CPU to the test? The image looks innocent enough... but I tell you, that innocence IS A LIE.
