Atleast Sony has online play.

Owned.

Online play is for those with no friends.

and huge empty fields
For more examples of this please see "The Wind Waker" ;)

TWW was an ocean based game, nub.  ::) :P

Just because it's about Virginia Tech?

Depends on what your definetion of an !@#$% is, then.  I haven't actually played the game, so I wouldn't know all that much about it, but until I bother to do that, I'll look at it just as I look at any other video game.  Nobody(well, not us geeks anyway) complain about the level of violence in the GTA series, and half of those geems seem to be more realistic than this.

346
I agree with Hawthorneluke, although I'm not against getting better graphics, nor against seeing new kinds of graphics and art style like what TWW gave us and PH is sort of giving us(although it's kind of more of a twist of TWW's).

Heh, if this weren't based on an actual event, I wonder what you reactions would be.

What kind of game would it be?

I thought TP was an awesome game, the best Zelda game so far.

Good Music
Good bosses
Good Enemies
Good Gameplay
All around the best Zelda Game.

Well, this is just my opinion, but the music was sort of meh-ish, although some of it was good, like the music when fighting Zant, or one of the final boss battles.  Most of the remixes are good, but they were just remixes, and that didn't help make them better.

The bosses were ok, if not a bit boring and easy, and not as unique and lively as TWW's.  The same goes for the enemies(anybody who says TP's Bokoblins are better than TWW's must be joking.  The attention to detail in TWW is so much better).

The gameplay, I'm not so sure about.  The GC version is more of the same, but with a c***** camera system and a hint button that could have been more useful if you could use it for items instead.

The Wii version is a bit better, except that the camera system the GC version had is taken out.  Other than that, I miss being able to pick up enemies' weapons and being able to knock cups and plates and stuff over, being able to break wooden bridges(well, there is one in the whole game, but I wanted more), and all the little details TWW had that made it seem more like a real world than just a video game, in a way.

On-topic:
The PS3 ftl.  I might buy it if it cost a little less than the Wii and had good games.

I might agree.  Twilight Princess wasn't the "purrfakt Celda g@m" that everyone made it out to be, and what the people making it led us to believe.  It was just ok.  TWW still remains my favorite.

I'm not sure if anybody knows about these, but there's one in OoT where you could succesfuly get into the tent in Gerudo Valley while still on Epona, and if you teleport to Lake Hylia, Epona will be where Link is supposed to be, and Link will be invisible and invincible.  You can still place bombs, but you can't carry them around, nor can you carry grass(although you can still throw them from their set spots after the game *thinks* you picked either of those things up).  Also, if you try to aim anything, you'll aim from under Epona.  And you can still drown.

The other is in OoA.  In the past, in the postman's office, you can pick up any of the three bookcases with the Power Bracelet(can't recall which).  Half of the one you picked will be lifted and a switch will appear.  You can stand on the switch, but it didn't seem to me like anything happened once I did.  If you pick up the second half, a staircase will appear, and it leads to the same room.  If you manage to get passed that, you'll get stuck in a wall in Rafton's house.

I like the game im just stock trying to push that block which is the first dungeon i think.
I got stuck there in the demo a while ago, but I figured out you can't push them... at least with your hands...
That's as much as I'll say right now.

Very well done game, I'm still stuck at the forest boss. How many hits does it take!?

If you can't do that, what are you supposed to do?  The only other item I have than the sword are a few pearls.

Coding / Re: Drawn lives and score following the screen?
« on: May 14, 2007, 08:27:05 pm »
Oh, I think I see now.  Thanks guys. :)

It's pretty simple, draw the scores at a position relative to the view!

I guess that was part of the problem too, lol.

Coding / Drawn lives and score following the screen?
« on: May 14, 2007, 04:07:48 am »
Well, I've been working a lot on my fan game for the past few days, the first of which I actually see being completed some time in the future, unlike all my other failed attempts. However, to try to make the game harder than it is already, I've decided to add lives, and a score that actually effects the gameplay(right now it's only really simple; get enough and get a 1-up, lose enough and lose a life).

The lives and score are drawn just fine and all, but the problem is that they won't follow the screen! It shows the score at the top, outside of the actual screen, still, but I want to be able to know how many lives I have left.

Would this have something to do with the view following oCharacter? If I'm not being specific enough, let me know.

Thanks in advance.

It's too bad I won't be able to get it(at least not anytime soon).  But I'd probably choose a game for the Wii over it anyway, unless I have a job by then and can afford both PH and some other game close to the same time.
