Graphics / FE Style TP Zelda
« on: November 25, 2006, 01:13:00 am »

Another oldie, but I quite like it and would like some C&C on it. If you can't tell, this is TP Zelda in Fire Emblem style.

I dislike most metal, but I recently came upon a band called Mastodon that I really love.

I believe I also heard that they are planning on open up the Wii Shop Channel to Indie developers, and small companies, similar to what XBox Live Arcade did with things like Geometry Wars, Alien Hominid, Castle Crashers, ect.

I will agree that their placement of most of the older games don't make much sense, and I don't really agree with them. But this part of the theory I do believe:

               The Minish Cap
                          |
              Ocarina of Time
                     /          \
Majora's Mask           Twilight Princess
                                          |
                               The Wind Waker
                                          |
                              Phantom Hourglass

And yes, I do believe in the split timeline theory. I'm fairly certain even Aonuma confirmed it, they quote him in the video.

I'm almost 100% certain the pronounced them right, except may Ocarina. Hi-rule is correct; I'm almost certain it's not hur-rule.

Then the pronounciations are phonetically retarded. :P

Seriously, they should never be pronounced that way. The spellings and their similarities to other words.... gah. <__< >__>
From my experience, English is a stupid language when it come to pronounciation :P

Is it just me, or did they mis-pronounce a lot of things ????

"Min-ish Cap", "Oh-car-ee-nah of Time", "Ma-joa-ra's Mask"?

I pronounce it:

"Mine-ish Cap", "Aw-car-ee-nah of Time", "Ma-jaw-ra's Mask"... is that wrong?

Nice videos, anyway... I'm not watching part 3 yet because I just realized how long they were and how much time I was wasting >.<!
They pronounced everything correctly. You are pronounceing them wrong :D

All of these retrospectives were extremely well done, and definitely a joy to watch. I wasn't too fond of the timeline one (because I completely disagree with it's theories) but the first 5 are magnificent and really make you appreciate Zelda as a video game series and more.
I guess we differ in opinion there, because I almost completely agree with that timeline theory, so I loved watching that one. Then again, it's the only one I know of. Any chance you could link me to some other theories? (I'm making a game that I want to fit into the timeline)

Well, that's what I've heard. It wouldn't really supprise me either. The Wii is relatively easy to produce, therefore Nintendo can make a lot of them very fast.

Apparently, stores should be getting a shipment of Wiis every week, not just Best Buy. Which is good news for those of us who don't have them yet :D

.TakaM, I will give you that his sprites aren't particularly good. In fact, they could use a lot of work. But couldn't you just have said that, instead of "I just find everything youve done offensive as an artist and Im sorry but I dont see any potential at all in you."? Maybe you could tell him how to improve, direct him somewhere with tutorials or something that could help him, give your own personal advice and methods, ect? There are far better ways to handle this situation that you did. Same with everyone else who is attack .TakaM. I have a lot of respect for you as an artist, TakaM, but you definately could have handled this situation better.

I wouldn't be suprised if you've seen it before. I did it a REALLY long time ago, and probably posted it then. I still consider it one of my better sprites.

I just found this on my computer. It's very old, but it's actually pretty good, so I thought I'd post it here.

I'm sure that a lot of people here at ZFGC use Xfire, so I thought it would be a good idea to start a list with people's Xfire usernames. Just post them here for others to see ^_^

My username is Acid Rain.

As I've said before on a couple other forums, this is a great game. Amazing graphics, very well programmed, and very professional. With a bit more depth, this game could turn out very well.

PS. Hi TakaM. Yeah, I'm back.

Feedback / Annoyance with Registration

When I was trying to register this account, I had a bit of a problem. The image with the letters on it that you have to type in only showed 3 numbers, while there should be six. I kept not being able to register, but found that when I clicked the "listen to the letters" link, it has 6 numbers. I put those in and it worked. This should be fixed if we want any new members to join the site.

I won't be getting a Wii 'till Christmas. My Mom said she's buying it this week, but I still have to wait until Christmas to play it :(

Game Trailers just finished a very interesting six part "Zelda Retrospective" yesterday.

Part 1: http://www.gametrailers.com/player.php?id=14063
Part 2: http://www.gametrailers.com/player.php?id=14269
Part 3: http://www.gametrailers.com/player.php?id=14537
Part 4: http://www.gametrailers.com/player.php?id=14673
Part 5: http://www.gametrailers.com/player.php?id=14936
Part 6: http://www.gametrailers.com/player.php?id=15194

They are all well done and fun to watch, and the last part, about a "Zelda Timeline", is very interesting. I'd recommend that anyone who likes Zelda to check this out.
