Description:
The Great Dekof rules over the Deku Swamp. His royalty is an old, but strong-willed man. He protects his tribe with his troops. The Deku King will tell Link about a legend about the cog. Dekof has a male kid, Dimu (10 years in human years).

Can you elaborate more on his current predicament of being captured by his own kingdom?

The King is in his own palace, trying to protect himself. When Link arrives, if he talks with the deku out of the palace, they will tell bad things about him. Link must talk with the king, to let Link enter in the Kokiri Forest. He thought that if someone else get the cog before Ganondorf did, things will be better.

You haven't really read the doc as far the Deku Kingdom goes, have you?

Yeah, this contradicts what's in the doc. Check Section 2.1.2 Races
They are currently stuck in a
revolution as the King promised to give the Cog to Ganondorf in exchange for the
most luxurious treasures in all of Hyrule. The king is currently trapped in his own
palace while the rest of the kingdom quarrels over electing a new king and
sacrificing the current one.

I read it, but not sure if understood XD. I meant that he thought that if someone stole the cog, before giving it to Ganondorf, Ganondorf would search the one who stole it, and the things will calm down. A doubt I have, does he know that Link is stealing the cogs for Ganondorf?

What we have defined so far is that he was trapped by his own people in his castle. Reason being that he was going to give the cog to Ganondorf for a trade. When the rest of the kingdom found out, they said, "!@#$% this" out of fear of angering the Kokiri. Their plan is to elect a new one and sacrifice the current one to the Kokiri tribe's spirits.

Well, then he was then saved by Link. Link said that there was no reason of killing him. He invented a story about Ganondorf tricked him.

Well technically link is working for Ganondorf.

Well, Link arrives, goes to get the cog and all that. After getting the cog, he asks the kokiri spirits if it's ok to sacriface the king. The kokiri say that there's no need of killing him, and instead, they should kill Ganondorf (the spirits didn't know Link worked for Ganondorf). This way, Link saves the king.

This topic is really contradictory to the story, and doesn't actually add any information about the Deku King NPC's character, except giving him a name and explaining that he has a son. The rest of the information you've given is just about the story or the station of king, and doesn't really add anything we didn't already know :/
Just for the sake of not being confusing, I think we're gonna reject this, but you're welcome to post a different submission for the King, that includes more information and doesn't contradict the plot of the game. I think that's better than just editing this submission. Niek, Star?
