Title: [Submission] Birds
Post by: SpritingBrad on December 08, 2015, 02:43:03 pm
Wouldn´t it be cool to have birds around the field and on different areas to make them more alive?
They will arrive in a small bunch from 1 to 4 birds and when link gets close they fly away.
Like in Skyward Sword, only here they are only animals you can only scare off.
I really liked those little birds from Minish Cap on the wind ruins and I thought we could make them come back as normal birds.
I put the sprites from Minish Cap on the attachment.
What do you think?

EDIT: And maybe when the player is still, A bird lands on link´s head? That would be pretty funny! Once you start moving again, it flies off.

Nice idea. They could also be used to sort of subtly point out places Link can climb, if there are ever any that aren't super obvious.

It might be good to recolor them to browns and or blacks, and remove their head crests so they aren't as tropical, they might fit better into normal Hyrule that way.

I agree, the typical red/green/yellow/blue is way too tropical.

Alright! No tropical birds! xD
So I took off the top feather and changed the colours to brown, black and white.
What do you think?

Ones that are all white would be cool too, like doves. Also, let's distribute them around not at random, but if we use several colors, have them be different varietiea in each area. Brown in the forest, grey like rocks in the mountains, etc.
